Jeremiah 31:16-21
ThusH3541 saith Jehovah: Refrain thy voiceH6963 from weepingH1065, and thine eyesH5869 from tearsH1832; for there is a rewardH7939 for thy workH6468, saith Jehovah; and they shall come again from the landH776 of the enemyH341.
And there is hopeH8615 for thy latterH319 endH319, saith Jehovah, and thy children shall come again to their own borderH1366.
I have indeed heardH8085 EphraimH669 bemoaning himself [thus]: Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised as a bullock not trainedH3925: turnH7725 thou me, and I shall be turnedH7725; for thou art Jehovah my 1GodH430.
Surely after that I was turnedH7725, I repentedH5162; and after I knewH3045 myself, I smote upon [my] thighH3409. I was ashamedH954, yea, even confounded, for I bearH5375 the reproachH2781 of my youthH5271.
Is EphraimH669 a dear sonH1121 unto me? is he a childH3206 of delights? For whilst I have been speakingH1696 against him, I do constantly rememberH2142 him stillH5750. ThereforeH3651 my bowelsH4578 are troubled for him: I will certainly have mercyH7355 upon him, saith Jehovah.
SetH7760 up waymarks, makeH7760 for thyself signposts; setH7760 thy heartH3820 toward the highwayH4546, the wayH1870 by which thou wentest: turnH7725 again, O virginH1330 of IsraelH3478, turnH7725 again to these thy citiesH5892.
