Sanctification and Love

11FinallyG3062 thenG3767, 2brethrenG80, we requestG2065 and exhortG3870 you in the LordG2962 JesusG2424, that as you receivedG3880 from us instruction as to howG4459 you oughtG1163 to 34walkG4043 and 5pleaseG700 GodG2316 (justG2531 as you actuallyG2532 do 6walkG4043), that you 7excelG4052 stillG3123 moreG3123. 2For you knowG3609 whatG5101 commandmentsG3852 we gaveG1325 you 8by the authority of the LordG2962 JesusG2424. 3For thisG3778 is the willG2307 of GodG2316, your sanctificationG38; that is, that you 9abstainG568 from 10sexualG4202 immoralityG4202; 4that 11eachG1538 of you knowG3609 howG3609 to 12possessG2932 his ownG1438 1314vesselG4632 in sanctificationG38 and 15honorG5092, 5not in 1617lustfulG1939 passionG3806, likeG2509 the GentilesG1484 who 18do not knowG3609 GodG2316; 6and that noG3361 man transgressG5233 and 19defraudG4122 his brotherG80 20in the matterG4229 becauseG1360 21the LordG2962 is the avengerG1558 in allG3956 theseG3778 thingsG3778, justG2531 as we alsoG2532 22toldG4275 you beforeG4275 and solemnlyG1263 warnedG1263 you. 7For 23GodG2316 has not calledG2564 us for 24the purpose of impurityG167, but 25in sanctificationG38. 8SoG5105, he who rejectsG114 this is not rejectingG114 manG444 but the GodG2316 who 26givesG1325 His HolyG40 SpiritG4151 to you.

9NowG1161 as to the 27loveG5360 of the brethrenG5360, you 28haveG2192 noG3756 needG5532 for anyone to writeG1125 to you, for you yourselvesG846 are 29taughtG2312 by GodG2312 to loveG25 oneG240 anotherG240; 10for indeedG2532 30you do practiceG4160 it towardG1519 allG3956 the brethrenG80 whoG3588 are in allG3650 MacedoniaG3109. But we urgeG3870 you, brethrenG80, to 31excelG4052 stillG3123 moreG3123, 11and to makeG5389 it your ambitionG5389 32to leadG2270 a quietG2270 lifeG2270 and 33attendG4238 to your ownG2398 business and 34workG2038 with your handsG5495, justG2531 as we commandedG3853 you, 12soG2443 that you will 3536behaveG4043 properlyG2156 towardG4314 37outsidersG3588G1854 and 3839not be in anyG3367 needG5532.

Those Who Died in Christ

13But 40we do not wantG2309 you to be uninformedG50, brethrenG80, aboutG4012 thoseG3588 who 41are asleepG2837, soG2443 that you will not grieveG3076 as do 42the restG3062 who haveG2192 43noG3361 hopeG1680. 14For ifG1487 we believeG4100 that JesusG2424 diedG599 and roseG450 againG450, 44evenG2532 soG3779 GodG2316 will bringG71 with Him 45thoseG3588 who have fallenG2837 asleepG2837 46in JesusG2424. 15For thisG3778 we sayG3004 to you 47by the wordG3056 of the LordG2962, that 48we who are aliveG2198 49and remainG4035 untilG1519 50the comingG3952 of the LordG2962, will not precedeG5348 51thoseG3588 who have fallenG2837 asleepG2837. 16For the LordG2962 52HimselfG846 53will descendG2597 from heavenG3772 with a 5455shoutG2752, with the voiceG5456 of 56the archangelG743 and with the 57trumpetG4536 of GodG2316, and 58the deadG3498 in ChristG5547 will riseG450 firstG4413. 17ThenG1899 59we who are aliveG2198 60and remainG4035 will be 61caughtG726 up togetherG260 with them 62in the cloudsG3507 to meetG529 the LordG2962 in the airG109, and soG3779 we shall alwaysG3842 63be with the LordG2962. 18ThereforeG5620 comfortG3870 oneG240 anotherG240 with theseG3778 wordsG3056.
