Luke 20:9-26

And he beganG757 to speakG3004 to the peopleG2992 this parableG3850: A manG444 plantedG5452 a vineyardG290 and let it out to husbandmen, and left the country for a long timeG5550.

And in the seasonG2540 he sentG649 to the husbandmen a bondman, that they might giveG1325 to him of the fruitG2590 of the vineyardG290; but the husbandmen, having beatenG1194 him, sentG649 [him] awayG1821 emptyG2756.

And again he sentG3992 another bondman; but they, having beatenG1194 him alsoG2532, and cast insult upon him, sentG3992 [him] awayG1821 emptyG2756.

And again he sentG3992 a thirdG5154; and they, having woundedG5135 him alsoG2532, castG1544 [him] out.

And the lordG2962 of the vineyardG290 saidG3004, What shall I do? I will sendG3992 my belovedG27 sonG5207: perhaps when they see him they will respectG1788 [him].

But when the husbandmen sawG3708 him, they reasonedG1260 among themselves, sayingG3004, This isG1510 the heirG2818; [comeG1096,] let us killG615 him, that the inheritanceG2817 may becomeG1096 ours.

And having castG1544 him forth out of the vineyardG290, they killedG615 [him]. What thereforeG3767 shall the lordG2962 of the vineyardG290 do to them?

He will comeG2064 and destroyG622 those husbandmen, and will giveG1325 the vineyardG290 to othersG243. And when they heardG191 it they saidG3004, May it neverG3361 be!

But he lookingG1689 at them saidG3004, What thenG3767 isG1510 this that isG1510 writtenG1125, The stoneG3037 which they that builded rejectedG593, this has becomeG1096 the corner-stone?

Every oneG3739 fallingG4098 on this stoneG3037 shall be broken, but on whomsoever it shall fallG4098, it shall grind him to powder.

And the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the scribesG1122 soughtG2212 the sameG846 hourG5610 to lay handsG5495 on him, and they fearedG5399 the peopleG2992; for they knewG1097 that he had spoken this parableG3850 of them.

And having watchedG3906 [him], they sentG649 out suborned persons, pretending to beG1510 justG1342 menG1342, that they might take holdG1949 of him in [his] language, soG2443 that they might deliverG3860 him up to the powerG1849 and authorityG1849 of the governorG2232.

And they askedG1905 him sayingG3004, TeacherG1320, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightlyG3723, and acceptest no [man's] person, but teachest with truthG225 the wayG3598 of 1GodG2316:

Is it lawfulG1832 for us to giveG1325 tribute to CaesarG2541, or not?

But perceiving their deceit he saidG3004 to them, Why do ye tempt me?

Shew me a denariusG1220. Whose imageG1504 and superscription has it? And answeringG611 they saidG3004, Caesar's.

And he saidG3004 to them, PayG591 thereforeG5106 what is Caesar's to CaesarG2541, and what is 2God's to 3GodG2316.

And they were not ableG2480 to take holdG1949 of him in [his] expressions before the peopleG2992, and, wonderingG2296 at his answerG612, they were silentG4601.
