Jeremiah 48:9-15
GiveH5414 wings unto MoabH4124, that she may flee and get away; and the citiesH5892 thereof shall becomeH1961 a desolationH8047, without inhabitantH3427.
CursedH779 be he that doeth the workH4399 of Jehovah negligently, and cursedH779 be he that keepeth back his swordH2719 from bloodH1818!
MoabH4124 hath been at easeH7599 from his youthH5271, and hath settled on his lees; he hath not been emptied from vesselH3627 to vesselH3627, neither hath he goneH1980 into captivity: thereforeH3651 his tasteH2940 hath remainedH5975 in him, and his scent is not changed.
ThereforeH3651 behold, daysH3117 comeH935, saith Jehovah, that I will sendH7971 unto him pourers that shall pour him off, and shall empty his vesselsH3627, and break in pieces his flagons.
And MoabH4124 shall be ashamedH954 of ChemoshH3645, as the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 was ashamedH954 of Bethel, their confidenceH4009.
HowH349 do ye sayH559, We are mightyH1368, and menH376 of valour for the warH4421?
MoabH4124 is laid waste, and his citiesH5892 are goneH5927 up [in smoke], and his chosen youngH970 menH970 are goneH5927 downH3381 to the slaughterH2874, saith the KingH4428, whose nameH8034 is Jehovah of hostsH6635.
