Jeremiah 38:7-12
And Ebed-melechH5663 the Ethiopian, a eunuchH5631 who was in the king's houseH1004, heardH8085 that they had putH5414 JeremiahH3414 in the dungeon — now the kingH4428 was sittingH3427 in the gateH8179 of BenjaminH1144,
— and Ebed-melechH5663 wentH3318 forthH3318 out of the king's houseH1004, and spokeH1696 to the kingH4428, sayingH559,
My lordH113, O kingH4428, these menH376 have done evilH7489 in all that they have done to the prophetH5030 JeremiahH3414, whom they have castH7993 into the dungeon; and he will dieH4191 by reason of the famineH7458 in the placeH8478 whereH834 he is; for there is no more breadH3899 in the cityH5892.
And the kingH4428 commandedH6680 Ebed-melechH5663 the Ethiopian, sayingH559, TakeH3947 from hence thirtyH7970 menH376 with thee, and takeH3947 up JeremiahH3414 the prophetH5030 out of the dungeon, before he dieH4191.
And Ebed-melechH5663 tookH3947 the menH376 under his order, and wentH935 into the houseH1004 of the kingH4428 under the treasuryH214, and tookH3947 thence old shreds and worn-outH1094 clothesH5499, and let them down by cordsH2256 into the dungeon to JeremiahH3414.
And Ebed-melechH5663 the Ethiopian saidH559 to JeremiahH3414, PutH7760, I pray, [these] old shreds and ragsH4418 under thine armholes under the cordsH2256. And JeremiahH3414 did soH3651.
