Jeremiah 18:11-17

And nowH6258, speak to the menH376 of JudahH3063 and to the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389, sayingH559, ThusH3541 saith Jehovah: Behold, I prepare evilH7451 against you, and devise a device against you: turnH7725 ye then every oneH376 from his evilH7451 wayH1870, and amend your waysH1870 and your doings.

But they sayH559, There is no hope; for we will walk after our own devices, and we will each oneH376 do [according to] the stubbornnessH8307 of his evilH7451 heartH3820.

ThereforeH3651 thusH3541 saith Jehovah: AskH7592 ye now among the nationsH1471, Who hath heardH8085 such thingsH428? The virginH1330 of IsraelH3478 hath done a veryH3966 horrible thing.

Shall the snowH7950 of LebanonH3844 cease from the rockH6697 of the fieldH7704? Shall the coolH7119 flowingH5140 watersH4325 coming from afar be dried up?

For my peopleH5971 hath forgottenH7911 me: they burn incenseH6999 to vanityH7723; and they have caused them to stumbleH3782 in their waysH1870, the ancient paths, to walk in by-paths of a wayH1870 not cast up;

to makeH7760 their landH776 an astonishment, a perpetual hissing: every one that passeth by shall be astonished, and shake his headH7218.

As with an eastH6921 windH7307 will I scatterH6327 them before the enemyH341; I will shew them the backH6203, and not the faceH6440, in the dayH3117 of their calamityH343.
