Jeremiah 13:9-11
9ThusH3541 saith Jehovah: After this manner will I spoil the prideH1347 of JudahH3063, and the greatH7227 prideH1347 of JerusalemH3389.
10This evilH7451 peopleH5971, who refuse to hearH8085 my wordsH1697, who walkH1980 in the stubbornnessH8307 of their heartH3820, and goH1980 after otherH312 1godsH430, to serveH5647 them and to worship them, shall even beH1961 as this girdle which is good for nothing.
11For as a girdle cleaveth to the loinsH4975 of a manH376, soH3651 have I caused to cleave unto me the whole houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 and the whole houseH1004 of JudahH3063, saith Jehovah; that they might beH1961 unto me for a peopleH5971, and for a nameH8034, and for a praiseH8416, and for a gloryH8597: but they would not hearH8085.
