Jeremiah 10:3-8
For the statutesH2708 of the peoplesH5971 are vanityH1892; for [it is] a treeH6086 cutH3772 out of the forestH3293, worked with a chisel by the handsH3027 of the artizan;
they deck it with silverH3701 and with goldH2091; they fasten it with nailsH4548 and with hammersH4717, that it move not.
They are as a palm-column of turned workH4749, and they speakH1696 not; they are carriedH5375, for they cannot goH3190. Be not afraidH3372 of them; for they cannot do evilH7489, neither alsoH1571 is it in them to do goodH3190.
There is none like unto thee, Jehovah; thou art greatH1419, and thy nameH8034 is greatH1419 in might.
Who would not fearH3372 thee, O KingH4428 of nationsH1471? For to thee doth it appertain; for among all the wiseH2450 men of the nationsH1471, and in all their kingdomsH4438, there is none like unto thee.
But they are oneH259 and all senseless and foolish; the teaching of vanitiesH1892 is a stock.
