Romans 8

1There is thereforeG686 nowG3568 no condemnationG2631 to them that are in ChristG5547 JesusG2424. 2For the lawG3551 of the SpiritG4151 of lifeG2222 in ChristG5547 JesusG2424 made me freeG1659 from the lawG3551 of sinG266 and of deathG2288. 3For what the lawG3551 could not do, in that it was weakG770 through the fleshG4561, GodG2316, sendingG3992 his ownG1438 SonG5207 in the likenessG3667 of sinful fleshG4561 and for sinG266, condemnedG2632 sinG266 in the fleshG4561: 4that the ordinance of the lawG3551 might be fulfilled in us, who walkG4043 not after the fleshG4561, but after the SpiritG4151. 5For they that areG1510 after the fleshG4561 mindG5426 the things of the fleshG4561; but they that areG1510 after the SpiritG4151 the things of the SpiritG4151. 6For the mindG5427 of the fleshG4561 is deathG2288; but the mindG5427 of the SpiritG4151 is lifeG2222 and peaceG1515: 7because the mindG5427 of the fleshG4561 is enmity against GodG2316; for it is not subjectG5293 to the lawG3551 of GodG2316, neither indeedG1063 can it be: 8and they that areG1510 in the fleshG4561 cannot pleaseG700 GodG2316. 9But ye areG1510 not in the fleshG4561 but in the SpiritG4151, if so beG1510 that the SpiritG4151 of GodG2316 dwelleth in you. But if any manG3778 hath not the SpiritG4151 of ChristG5547, he isG1510 none of his. 10And if ChristG5547 is in you, the bodyG4983 is deadG3498 because of sinG266; but the spiritG4151 is lifeG2222 because of righteousnessG1343. 11But if the SpiritG4151 of him that raisedG1453 up JesusG2424 from the deadG3498 dwelleth in you, he that raisedG1453 up ChristG5547 JesusG2424 from the deadG3498 shall give lifeG2227 alsoG2532 to your mortalG2349 bodiesG4983 through his SpiritG4151 that dwelleth in you.

12So thenG3767, brethren, we areG1510 debtorsG3781, not to the fleshG4561, to liveG2198 after the fleshG4561: 13for if ye liveG2198 after the fleshG4561, ye must dieG599; but if by the SpiritG4151 ye putG2289 to deathG2289 the deedsG4234 of the bodyG4983, ye shall liveG2198. 14For as manyG3745 as areG1510 ledG71 by the SpiritG4151 of GodG2316, these areG1510 sonsG5207 of GodG2316. 15For ye receivedG2983 not the spiritG4151 of bondage againG3825 unto fearG5401; but ye receivedG2983 the spiritG4151 of adoptionG5206, whereby we cryG2896, AbbaG5, FatherG3962. 16The SpiritG4151 himself beareth witnessG4828 with our spiritG4151, that we areG1510 childrenG5043 of GodG2316: 17and if childrenG5043, then heirsG2818; heirsG2818 of GodG2316, and joint-heirs with ChristG5547; if soG2443 be that we sufferG4841 with him, that we may be alsoG2532 glorified with him.

18For I reckon that the sufferings of this presentG3568 timeG2540 are not worthyG514 to be compared with the gloryG1391 which shall be revealedG601 to us-ward. 19For the earnestG603 expectationG603 of the creationG2937 waiteth for the revealing of the sonsG5207 of GodG2316. 20For the creationG2937 was subjectedG5293 to vanity, not of its own will, but by reason of him who subjectedG5293 it, in hopeG1680 21that the creationG2937 itself alsoG2532 shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the gloryG1391 of the childrenG5043 of GodG2316. 22For we know that the whole creationG2937 groaneth and travaileth in pain together until nowG3568. 23And not onlyG3440 so, but ourselves alsoG2532, who have the first-fruits of the SpiritG4151, evenG2532 we ourselves groanG4727 within ourselves, waiting for our adoptionG5206, to wit, the redemptionG629 of our bodyG4983. 24For in hopeG1680 wereG1510 we savedG4982: but hopeG1680 that isG1510 seenG991 isG1510 not hopeG1680: for who hopeth for that which he seeth? 25But if we hopeG1679 for that which we seeG991 not, thenG1161 do we with patience wait for it.

26And in like manner the SpiritG4151 alsoG2532 helpeth our infirmityG769: for we know not how to prayG4336 as we oughtG1163; but the SpiritG4151 himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered; 27and he that searcheth the heartsG2588 knoweth what is the mind of the SpiritG4151, because he maketh intercession for the saintsG40 accordingG2596 to the will of GodG2316. 28And we know that to them that loveG25 GodG2316 all thingsG3956 workG4903 togetherG4903 for goodG18, even to them that areG1510 calledG2822 accordingG2596 to his purposeG4286. 29For whom he foreknew, he alsoG2532 foreordained to beG1510 conformed to the imageG1504 of his SonG5207, that he might beG1510 the firstbornG4416 among manyG4183 brethren: 30and whom he foreordained, them he alsoG2532 calledG2564: and whom he calledG2564, them he alsoG2532 justifiedG1344: and whom he justifiedG1344, them he alsoG2532 glorifiedG1392.

31What thenG3767 shall we sayG3004 to these thingsG3778? If GodG2316isfor us, whoisagainst us? 32He that spared not his ownG2398 SonG5207, but deliveredG3860 him up for us all, howG4459 shall he not alsoG2532 with him freely give us all thingsG3956? 33Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s electG1588? It is GodG2316 that justifieth; 34who isG1510 he that condemneth? It isG1510 ChristG5547 JesusG2424 that diedG599, yea ratherG3123, that wasG1510 raisedG1453 from the deadG599, who isG1510 at the rightG1188 handG1188 of GodG2316, who alsoG2532 maketh intercession for us. 35Who shall separateG5563 us from the loveG26 of ChristG5547? shall tribulationG2347, or anguish, or persecutionG1375, or famineG3042, or nakednessG1132, or perilG2794, or swordG3162? 36Even as it is writtenG1125,

37Nay, in all these thingsG3778 we are more than conquerors through him that lovedG25 us. 38For I am persuadedG3982, that neither deathG2288, nor lifeG2222, nor angelsG32, nor principalities, nor thingsG3195 presentG1764, nor thingsG3195 to comeG3195, nor powersG1411, 39nor height, nor depthG899, nor any otherG2087 creature, shall be ableG1410 to separateG5563 us from the loveG26 of GodG2316, which is in ChristG5547 JesusG2424 our LordG2962.
