Romans 5

1Being thereforeG3767 justifiedG1344 by faithG4102, we have peaceG1515 with GodG2316 through our LordG2962 JesusG2424 ChristG5547; 2through whom alsoG2532 we have had our accessG4318 by faithG4102 into this graceG5485 wherein we standG2476; and we rejoice in hopeG1680 of the gloryG1391 of GodG2316. 3And not onlyG3440 so, but we alsoG2532 rejoice in our tribulationsG2347: knowing that tribulationG2347 worketh stedfastness; 4and stedfastness, approvedness; and approvedness, hopeG1680: 5and hopeG1680 putteth not to shameG2617; because the loveG26 of GodG2316 hath been shed abroad in our heartsG2588 through the HolyG40 SpiritG4151 which was givenG1325 unto us. 6For while we wereG1510 yetG2089 weakG772, in due seasonG2540 ChristG5547 diedG599 for the ungodlyG765. 7For scarcely for a righteousG1342 man will oneG5100 dieG599: for peradventure for the goodG18 man some oneG5100 would evenG2532 dareG5111 to dieG599. 8But GodG2316 commendeth his ownG1438 loveG26 toward us, in that, while we wereG1510 yet sinnersG268, ChristG5547 diedG599 for us. 9MuchG4183 moreG3123 thenG3767, being nowG3568 justifiedG1344 by his bloodG129, shall we be savedG4982 from the wrathG3709 of God through him. 10For if, while we wereG1510 enemiesG2190, we wereG1510 reconciled to GodG2316 through the deathG2288 of his SonG5207, muchG4183 moreG3123, beingG1510 reconciled, shall we beG1510 savedG4982 by his lifeG2222; 11and not onlyG3440 so, but we alsoG2532 rejoice in GodG2316 through our LordG2962 JesusG2424 ChristG5547, through whom we have nowG1161 receivedG2983 the reconciliationG2643.

12Therefore, as through oneG1520 manG444 sinG266 enteredG1525 into the worldG2889, and deathG2288 through sinG266; and so deathG2288 passedG1330 unto all menG444, for that all sinnedG264:— 13for until the lawG3551 sinG266 wasG1510 in the worldG2889; but sinG266 isG1510 not imputed when there isG1510 no lawG3551. 14Nevertheless deathG2288 reignedG936 from AdamG76 until MosesG3475, evenG2532 over them that had not sinnedG264 after the likenessG3667 of Adam’s transgressionG3847, who isG1510 a figure of him that wasG1510 to comeG3195. 15But not as the trespassG3900, so alsoG2532 is the free giftG1431. For if by the trespassG3900 of the oneG1520 the manyG4183 diedG599, muchG4183 moreG3123 did the graceG5485 of GodG2316, and the giftG1431 by the graceG5485 of the oneG1520 manG444, JesusG2424 ChristG5547, aboundG4052 unto the manyG4183. 16And not as through oneG1520 that sinnedG264, so is the giftG5486: for the judgmentG2917 came of oneG1520 unto condemnationG2917, but the free giftG5486 came of manyG4183 trespassesG3900 unto justification. 17For if, by the trespassG3900 of the oneG1520, deathG2288 reignedG936 through the oneG1520; muchG4183 moreG3123 shall they that receiveG2983 the abundance of graceG5485 and of the giftG1431 of righteousnessG1343 reignG936 in lifeG2222 through the oneG1520, evenG2532 JesusG2424 ChristG5547. 18So then as through oneG1520 trespassG3900 the judgment came unto all menG444 to condemnationG2631; evenG2532 so through oneG1520 actG1345 of righteousnessG1345 the free gift came unto all menG444 to justificationG1347 of lifeG2222. 19For as through the oneG1520 man’sG444 disobedienceG3876 the manyG4183 were made sinnersG268, evenG2532 so through the obedienceG5218 of the oneG1520 shall the manyG4183 be made righteousG1342. 20And the lawG3551 came in besides, that the trespassG3900 might abound; but whereG3757 sinG266 abounded, graceG5485 did abound more exceedingly: 21that, as sinG266 reignedG936 in deathG2288, evenG2532 soG2443 might graceG5485 reignG936 through righteousnessG1343 unto eternalG166 lifeG2222 through JesusG2424 ChristG5547 our LordG2962.
