2He was faithfulπιστὸνpistonG4103to Him who appointedποιήσαντιpoiēsantiG4160Him, asMosesΜωϋσῆςMōusēsG3475alsoκαὶkaiG2532was in allὅλῳholōG3650His houseοἴκῳoikōG3624.

3For He has been countedG515worthyἠξίωται,ēxiōtaiG515of moreG4183gloryδόξηςdoxēsG1391thanπαρὰparaG3844MosesΜωϋσῆνMōusēnG3475,by justκαθ᾽kath᾽G2596soὅσονhosonG3745muchG3745as the builderκατασκευάσαςkataskeuasasG2680of the houseοἴκουoikouG3624hasἔχειecheiG2192moreG4183honorτιμὴνtimēnG5092than the houseG3624.

4For everyG3956houseοἶκοςoikosG3624is builtκατασκευάζεταιkataskeuazetaiG2680by someoneτινος,tinosG5100,but the builderκατασκευάσαςkataskeuasasG2680of allG3956thingsG3956is Godθεός.theosG2316.

5NowκαὶkaiG2532MosesΜωϋσῆςMōusēsG3475was faithfulπιστὸςpistosG4103in allὅλῳholōG3650God’s houseοἴκῳoikōG3624asa servantθεράπωνtherapōnG2324,for a testimonyμαρτύριονmarturionG3142of thoseG3588thingswhich were to be spokenλαληθησομένων,lalēthēsomenōnG2980later;

6but ChristΧριστὸςChristosG5547was faithful asa SonυἱὸςhuiosG5207overἐπὶepiG1909His houseοἶκονoikonG3624--whoseοὗhouG3739houseοἶκόςoikosG3624we are,ifἐάνπερeanperperG1437we holdκατάσχωμεν.¶kataschōmenG2722firmlyG2722toG2722ourconfidenceπαρρησίανparrēsianG3954and the boastκαύχημαkauchēmaG2745of ourhopeἐλπίδοςelpidosG1680.

8Do not hardenσκληρύνητεsklērunēteG4645your heartsκαρδίαςkardiasG2588aswhenG1722they provokedπαραπικρασμῷparapikrasmōG3894Me,As on the dayἡμέρανhēmeranG2250of trialπειρασμοῦpeirasmouG3986in the wildernessἐρήμῳ,erēmōG2048,

9WhereοὗhouG3757your fathersπατέρεςpateresG3962putἐπείρασανepeirasanG3985Meto the testG1381,And sawG3708My worksἔργαergaG2041forfortyG5065yearsG2094.

10ThereforeδιὸdioG1352I was angryπροσώχθισαprosōchthisaG4360with thisταύτῃtautēG3778generationγενεᾷgeneaG1074,And saidG3004, ‘They alwaysἀεὶaeiG104goG4105astrayπλανῶνταιplanōntaiG4105in their heartκαρδίᾳ·kardiaG2588,And they did not knowἔγνωσανegnōsanG1097My waysὁδούςhodousG3598’;

11As I sworeὤμοσαōmosaG3660in My angerὀργῇorgēaG3709, ‘They certainlyεἰeiG1487shall not enterεἰσελεύσονταιeiseleusontaiG1525My restκατάπαυσίνkatapausinG2663.’”

12TakeΒλέπετε,BlepeteG991careG991,brothersἀδελφοί,adelphoiG80and sisters,that there will not be in anyG5100oneG5100of you an evilπονηρὰponēraG4190,unbelievingἀπιστίαςapistiasG570heartκαρδίαkardiaG2588that fallsG868awayἀποστῆναιapostēnaiG868fromthe livingζῶντος·zōntosG2198GodθεοῦtheouG2316.

13ButencourageπαρακαλεῖτεparakaleiteG3870oneG1438anotherG1438everyκαθ᾽ ἑκάστηνkath᾽ hekastēnG1538 G2596dayἡμέρανhēmeranG2250,as longἄχριςachrisG891as it is stillcalledκαλεῖταιkaleitaiG2564“todayσήμερονsēmeronG4594,”soἵναinaG2443thatG2443noneτιςtisG5100 G1438of you will be hardenedσκληρυνθῇsklērunthēaG4645by thedeceitfulnessἀπάτῃapatēG539of sinἁμαρτίας·hamartiasG266.

14For we have becomeγεγόναμενgegonamenG1096partakersμέτοχοιmetochoiG3353of ChristΧριστοῦChristouG5547ifἐάνπερeanperperG1437 G4007we keepκατάσχωμεν·kataschōmenG2722the beginningἀρχὴνarchēnG746of ourcommitmentὑποστάσεωςhupostaseōsG5287firmβεβαίανbebaianG949untilμέχριmechriG3360the endτέλουςtelousG5056,

15whileἐνenG1722it is saidλέγεσθαι·legesthaiG3004, “TodayσήμερονsēmeronG4594ifἐὰνeanG1437you hearἀκούσητε,akousēteG191His voiceφωνῆςphōnēsG5456,Do not hardenσκληρύνητεsklērunēteG4645your heartsκαρδίαςkardiasG2588, aswhenἐνenG1722they provokedπαραπικρασμῷ.parapikrasmōG3894Me.”

16For whoG5101provokedπαρεπίκραναν;parepikrananG3893Himwhen they had heardἀκούσαντεςakousantesG191?Indeedἀλλ᾽all᾽G235,did not allπάντεςpantesG3956thoseοἱhoiG3588whoG5101cameἐξελθόντεςexelthontesG1831outG1831of EgyptΑἰγύπτουAiguptouG125ledby MosesΜωϋσέως;MōuseōsG3475?

17And with whomG5101was He angryπροσώχθισενprosōchthisenG4360for fortyG5065yearsἔτη;etēG2094?Was it not with thoseG3588whoG5101sinnedἁμαρτήσασινhamartēsasinG264,whoseὧνhōnG3739deadG2966bodiesG2966fellἔπεσενepesenG4098in the wildernessἐρήμῳ;erēmōG2048?

18And to whomG5101did He swearὤμοσενōmosenG3660that they would not enterεἰσελεύσεσθαιeiseleusesthaiG1525His restκατάπαυσινkatapausinG2663,but to thoseG3588whoG5101weredisobedientἀπειθήσασιν;apeithēsasinG544?

19And sowe seeβλέπομενblepomenG991that they were not ableἠδυνήθησανēdunēthēsanG1410to enterεἰσελθεῖνeiseltheinG1525becauseδι᾽di᾽G1223ofunbeliefἀπιστίαν.¶apistianG570.
