Matthew 26:54-71
HowG4459 thenG3767 should the scripturesG1124 be fulfilled that thus it must be?
In that hourG5610 JesusG2424 saidG3004 to the crowdsG3793, Are ye comeG1831 out as against a robberG3027 with swordsG3162 and sticks to takeG2902 me? I sat daily [with you] teachingG1321 in the temple, and ye did not seizeG2902 me.
But all this is comeG1096 to passG1096 that the scripturesG1124 of the prophetsG4396 may be fulfilled. ThenG5119 all the disciplesG3101 leftG863 him and fledG5343.
NowG1161 they that had seizedG2902 JesusG2424 ledG520 [him] awayG520 to CaiaphasG2533 the highG749 priestG749, whereG3699 the scribesG1122 and the eldersG4245 were assembled.
And PeterG4074 followedG190 him at a distance, evenG2532 to the palace of the highG749 priestG749, and enteringG1525 in satG2521 with the officersG5257 to seeG3708 the endG5056.
And the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the elders and the wholeG3650 sanhedrim soughtG2212 false witness against JesusG2424, so that they might putG2289 him to deathG2289.
And they foundG2147 none, though manyG4183 false witnesses cameG4334 forwardG4334. But at the last twoG1417 false witnesses cameG4334 forwardG4334
and saidG3004, He saidG3004, I am ableG1410 to destroyG2647 the templeG3485 of 1GodG2316, and in threeG5140 daysG2250 buildG3618 it.
And the highG749 priestG749 standing up saidG3004 to him, Answerest thou nothing? What do these witness against thee?
But JesusG2424 wasG1510 silentG4623. And the highG749 priestG749 answeringG611 saidG3004 to him, I adjure thee by the livingG2198 2GodG2316 that thou tellG3004 us if thou art the ChristG5547 the SonG5207 of 3GodG2316.
JesusG2424 saysG3004 to him, Thou hast saidG3004. Moreover, I sayG3004 to you, From henceforth ye shall seeG3708 the SonG5207 of manG444 sittingG2521 at the rightG1188 handG1188 of powerG1411, and comingG2064 on the cloudsG3507 of heavenG3772.
ThenG5119 the highG749 priestG749 rent his clothesG2440, sayingG3004, He has blasphemedG987: what needG5532 have we any moreG2089 of witnessesG3144? beholdG2396, nowG3568 ye have heardG191 the blasphemyG988.
What thinkG1380 ye? And they answeringG611 saidG3004, He isG1510 liableG1777 to the penalty of deathG2288.
Then they spitG1716 in his faceG4383, and buffeted him, and some struck him with the palms of their hand,
sayingG3004, ProphesyG4395 to us, ChristG5547, Who isG1510 it who struck thee?
But PeterG4074 satG2521 without in the palace-court; and a maid cameG4334 to him, sayingG3004, And thou wast with JesusG2424 the Galilaean.
But he deniedG720 before all, sayingG3004, I do not know what thou sayest.
And when he had goneG1831 out into the entrance, another [maid] sawG3708 him, and saysG3004 to those there, This [manG3778] alsoG2532 wasG1510 with JesusG2424 the Nazaraean.
