Darby Bible

1In the twenty-fifth yearH8141 of our captivity, in the beginning of the yearH8141, on the tenth of the monthH2320, in the fourteenth yearH8141 after that the cityH5892 wasH1961 smitten, on that same dayH3117 the handH3027 of Jehovah wasH1961 upon me, and he broughtH935 me thither. 2In the visionsH4759 of 1GodH430 broughtH935 he me into the landH776 of IsraelH3478, and set me upon a veryH3966 highH1364 mountainH2022; and upon it was as the building of a cityH5892, on the southH5045. 3And he broughtH935 me thither, and behold, there was a manH376 whose appearanceH4758 was like the appearanceH4758 of brass, with a flax-cord in his handH3027, and a measuring-reed; and he stoodH5975 in the gateH8179. 4And the manH376 saidH1696 unto me, SonH1121 of manH376, behold with thine eyesH5869, and hearH8085 with thine earsH241, and setH7760 thy heartH3820 upon all that I shall shew thee; for in order that it might be shewn unto thee art thou broughtH935 hither. DeclareH5046 to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 all that thou seest. 5And behold, there was a wallH2346 on the outsideH2351 of the houseH1004 roundH5439 about, and in the man's handH3027 a measuring-reed of sixH8337 cubitsH520, [each] of oneH259 cubitH520 and a handH3027 breadthH7341. And he measuredH4058 the breadthH7341 of the building, oneH259 reedH7070; and the heightH6967, oneH259 reedH7070. 6And he cameH935 to the gateH8179 which looked toward the eastH6921, and wentH935 up its stepsH4609; and he measuredH4058 the threshold of the gateH8179, oneH259 reedH7070 broad; and the other threshold oneH259 reedH7070 broad. 7And [each] chamber was oneH259 reedH7070 long and oneH259 reedH7070 broad; and between the chambers were fiveH2568 cubitsH520; and the threshold of the gateH8179, beside the porchH197 of the gateH8179 within, was oneH259 reedH7070. 8And he measuredH4058 the porchH197 of the gateH8179 within, oneH259 reedH7070. 9And he measuredH4058 the porchH197 of the gateH8179, eightH8083 cubitsH520; and the posts thereof, twoH8147 cubitsH520; and the porchH197 of the gateH8179 was inward. 10And the chambers of the gateH8179 which was toward the eastH6921 were threeH7969 on this side and threeH7969 on that side: they threeH7969 were of oneH259 measure; and the posts on this side and on that side had oneH259 measure. 11And he measuredH4058 the breadthH7341 of the entry of the gateH8179, tenH6235 cubitsH520; [and] the lengthH753 of the gateH8179, thirteen cubitsH520. 12And there was a borderH1366 before the chambers of oneH259 cubitH520, and a borderH1366 of oneH259 cubitH520 on the other side; and the chambers were sixH8337 cubitsH520 on this side, and sixH8337 cubitsH520 on that side. 13And he measuredH4058 the gateH8179 from the roofH1406 of [one] chamber to the roofH1406 [of the other], a breadthH7341 of fiveH2568 and twentyH6242 cubitsH520, entry opposite entry. 14And he madeH6213 posts, sixtyH8346 cubitsH520, and by the post was the courtH2691 of the gateH8179 roundH5439 about. 15And from the front of the gateH8179 of the entrance unto the front of the porchH197 of the innerH6442 gateH8179 were fiftyH2572 cubitsH520. 16And there were closed windowsH2474 to the chambers, and to their posts within the gateH8179 roundH5439 about, and likewise to the projections; and the windowsH2474 roundH5439 about were inward; and upon [each] post were palm-trees. 17And he broughtH935 me into the outerH2435 courtH2691, and behold, there were cells, and a pavementH7531 madeH6213 for the courtH2691 roundH5439 about: thirtyH7970 cells were upon the pavementH7531. 18And the pavementH7531 was by the sideH3802 of the gatesH8179, answering to the lengthH753 of the gatesH8179, [namely] the lower pavementH7531. 19And he measuredH4058 the breadthH7341 from the front of the lower gateH8179 unto the front of the innerH6442 courtH2691 outside, a hundredH3967 cubitsH520 eastward and northward. 20And the gateH8179 of the outerH2435 courtH2691, that looked toward the northH6828, he measuredH4058 its lengthH753 and its breadthH7341. 21And its chambers wereH1961 threeH7969 on this side and threeH7969 on that side; and its posts and its projections wereH1961 according to the measure of the firstH7223 gateH8179: its lengthH753 wasH1961 fiftyH2572 cubitsH520, and breadthH7341 fiveH2568 and twentyH6242 cubitsH520. 22And its windowsH2474, and its projections, and its palm-trees were according to the measure of the gateH8179 that looked toward the eastH6921; and they wentH5927 up to it by sevenH7651 stepsH4609; and the projections thereof were before them. 23And the gateH8179 of the innerH6442 courtH2691 was opposite to the gateH8179 toward the northH6828, and toward the eastH6921; and he measuredH4058 from gateH8179 to gateH8179 a hundredH3967 cubitsH520. 24And he brought me toward the southH1864: and behold, there was a gateH8179 toward the southH1864; and he measuredH4058 its posts and its projections according to these measures. 25And there were windowsH2474 to it and to its projections roundH5439 about, like those windowsH2474: the lengthH753 was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520, and the breadthH7341 fiveH2568 and twentyH6242 cubitsH520. 26And there were sevenH7651 stepsH4609 to go up to it; and its projections were before them; and it had palm-trees, oneH259 on this side and oneH259 on that side, upon its posts. 27And there was a gateH8179 to the innerH6442 courtH2691 toward the southH1864; and he measuredH4058 from gateH8179 to gateH8179 toward the southH1864, a hundredH3967 cubitsH520. 28And he broughtH935 me into the innerH6442 courtH2691 by the southH1864 gateH8179; and he measuredH4058 the southH1864 gateH8179 according to these measures: 29and its chambers, and its posts, and its projections, according to these measures; and there were windowsH2474 to it and to its projections roundH5439 about: the lengthH753 was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520, and the breadthH7341 twenty-five cubitsH520. 30And there were projections roundH5439 about, twenty-five cubitsH520 long, and fiveH2568 cubitsH520 broad. 31And its projections were toward the outerH2435 courtH2691; and there were palm-trees upon its posts: and its ascentH4608 was [by] eightH8083 stepsH4609. 32And he broughtH935 me into the innerH6442 courtH2691 toward the eastH6921; and he measuredH4058 the gateH8179 according to these measures: 33and its chambers, and its posts, and its projections, according to these measures; and there were windowsH2474 to it and to its projections roundH5439 about: the lengthH753 was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520, and the breadthH7341 twenty-five cubitsH520. 34And its projections were toward the outerH2435 courtH2691; and there were palm-trees upon its posts on this side and on that side: and its ascentH4608 was [by] eightH8083 stepsH4609. 35And he broughtH935 me to the northH6828 gateH8179, and he measuredH4058 [it] according to these measures: 36its chambers, its posts, and its projections; and there were windowsH2474 to it roundH5439 about: the lengthH753 was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520, and the breadthH7341 twenty-five cubitsH520. 37And its posts were toward the outerH2435 courtH2691; and there were palm-trees upon its posts, on this side and on that side: and its ascentH4608 was [by] eightH8083 stepsH4609. 38And there was a cell and its entry by the posts of the gatesH8179; there they rinsed the burnt-offering. 39And in the porchH197 of the gateH8179 were twoH8147 tablesH7979 on this side, and twoH8147 tablesH7979 on that side, to slay thereon the burnt-offering and the sin-offering and the trespass-offering. 40And at the sideH3802 without, at the ascent to the entry of the northH6828 gateH8179, were twoH8147 tablesH7979; and on the otherH312 sideH3802, which was at the porchH197 of the gateH8179, were twoH8147 tablesH7979: 41fourH702 tablesH7979 on this sideH3802, and fourH702 tablesH7979 on that sideH3802, by the sideH3802 of the gateH8179, — eightH8083 tablesH7979, whereon they slew [the sacrifice], 42— and at the ascent, fourH702 tablesH7979 of hewnH1496 stoneH68, of a cubitH520 and a halfH2677 long, and a cubitH520 and a halfH2677 broad, and oneH259 cubitH520 high; whereon also they laid the instrumentsH3627 with which they slew the burnt-offering and the sacrificeH2077. 43And the double hooks of a hand breadth were fastened roundH5439 about within; and upon the tablesH7979 [they put] the fleshH1320 of the offeringH7133. 44And outside the innerH6442 gateH8179 were two cells in the innerH6442 courtH2691, oneH259 at the sideH3802 of the northH6828 gateH8179, and its front towards the southH1864; the other was at the sideH3802 of the southH1864 gateH8179, the front towards the northH6828. 45And he saidH1696 unto me, This cell whose front is towards the southH1864 is for the priestsH3548, the keepersH8104 of the chargeH4931 of the houseH1004. 46And the cell whose front is toward the northH6828 is for the priestsH3548, the keepersH8104 of the chargeH4931 of the altarH4196. These are the sonsH1121 of ZadokH6659, those who, from among the sonsH1121 of LeviH3878, approach unto Jehovah to minister unto him. 47And he measuredH4058 the courtH2691, the lengthH753 a hundredH3967 cubitsH520, and the breadthH7341 a hundredH3967 cubitsH520, four squareH7251: and the altarH4196 was before the houseH1004. 48And he broughtH935 me to the porchH197 of the houseH1004; and he measuredH4058 the post of the porchH197, fiveH2568 cubitsH520 on this side, and fiveH2568 cubitsH520 on that side; and the breadthH7341 of the gateH8179, threeH7969 cubitsH520 on this side, and threeH7969 cubitsH520 on that side. 49The lengthH753 of the porchH197 was twentyH6242 cubitsH520, and the breadthH7341 eleven cubitsH520, even by the stepsH4609 whereby they wentH5927 up to it; and there were pillarsH5982 by the posts, oneH259 on this side, and oneH259 on that side.
