Ezekiel 23

1And the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto me, sayingH559, 2SonH1121 of manH120, there wereH1961 twoH8147 womenH802, daughtersH1323 of oneH259 motherH517. 3And they committed whoredom in EgyptH4714; they committed whoredom in their youthH5271: there were their breastsH7699 pressed, and there were handled the teats of their virginityH1331. 4And their namesH8034 wereH1961 OholahH170 the elder, and OholibahH172 her sisterH269; and they wereH1961 mine, and they boreH3205 sonsH1121 and daughtersH1323. As for their namesH8034: SamariaH8111 is OholahH170, and JerusalemH3389 OholibahH172. 5And OholahH170 playedH2181 the harlot when she was mine; and she lustedH5689 after her loversH157, after the Assyrians [her] neighbours, 6clothedH3847 with blueH8504, governorsH6346 and rulers, all of them attractive youngH970 menH970, horsemenH6571 ridingH7392 upon horsesH5483. 7And she bestowed her whoredoms upon them, all of them the choice of the children of AsshurH804; and with all after whom she lustedH5689, with all their idolsH1544 she defiledH2930 herself. 8Neither leftH5800 she her whoredoms [brought] from EgyptH4714; for in her youthH5271 they had lainH7901 with her, and had handled the breasts of her virginityH1331, and pouredH8210 their fornication upon her. 9ThereforeH3651 I gaveH5414 her into the handH3027 of her loversH157, into the handH3027 of the children of AsshurH804, after whom she lustedH5689. 10These discovered her nakednessH6172, they tookH3947 her sonsH1121 and her daughtersH1323, and slewH2026 her with the swordH2719; and she becameH1961 a nameH8034 among womenH802; and they executed judgment upon her. 11And her sisterH269 OholibahH172 sawH7200 [this], and was moreH4480 corruptH7843 in her passion than she, and in her fornications moreH4480 than the whoredoms of her sisterH269. 12She lustedH5689 after the children of AsshurH804 [her] neighbours, governorsH6346 and rulers, clothedH3847 most gorgeously, horsemenH6571 ridingH7392 upon horsesH5483, all of them attractive youngH1121 menH970. 13And I sawH7200 that she was defiledH2930: both took oneH259 wayH1870. 14And she increasedH3254 her fornications; for she sawH7200 menH376 portrayed upon the wallH7023, the imagesH6754 of the ChaldeansH3778 portrayed with vermilionH8350, 15girded with girdles upon their loinsH4975, with flowing turbans on their headsH7218, all of them captains in appearanceH4758, [after] the likenessH1823 of the children of BabylonH894, of ChaldeaH3778, the landH776 of their nativity. 16And as soon as she saw them with her eyesH5869, she lustedH5689 after them, and sentH7971 messengersH4397 unto them into ChaldeaH3778. 17And the children of BabylonH894 cameH935 to her into the bedH4904 of love, and they defiledH2930 her with their fornication; she too defiledH2930 herself with them, and her soulH5315 was alienated from them. 18And she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered her nakednessH6172; and my soulH5315 was alienated from her, like as my soulH5315 was alienated from her sisterH269. 19Yet she multipliedH7235 her whoredoms, calling to remembranceH2142 the daysH3117 of her youthH5271, wherein she playedH2181 the harlot in the landH776 of EgyptH4714; 20and she lustedH5689 after their paramours, whose fleshH1320 is [as] the fleshH1320 of asses, and whose issue is [as] the issue of horsesH5483. 21And thou didst look back to the lewdness of thy youthH5271, in the handling of thy teats by the Egyptians, for the breastsH7699 of thy youthH5271. 22ThereforeH3651, OholibahH172, thusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: Behold, I will raise up thy loversH157 against thee, from whom thy soulH5315 is alienated, and I will bringH935 them against thee on every side. 23The children of BabylonH894, and all the ChaldeansH3778, PekodH6489 and Shoa and Koa, all the children of AsshurH804 with them; all of them attractive youngH1121 menH970, governorsH6346 and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them ridingH7392 upon horsesH5483. 24And they shall comeH935 against thee [with] armour, chariotsH7393 and wheelsH1534, and with an assemblage of peoplesH5971; they shall setH7760 themselves against thee [with] target, and shieldH4043, and helmetH6959 roundH5439 about; and I will putH5414 judgmentH4941 before them, and they shall judgeH8199 thee according to their judgmentsH4941. 25And I will setH5414 my jealousyH7068 against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall cut off thy noseH639 and thine earsH241, and thy remnant shall fallH5307 by the swordH2719; they shall takeH3947 thy sonsH1121 and thy daughtersH1323; and thy residue shall be devouredH398 by the fireH784. 26They shall also stripH6584 the of thy garmentsH899, and takeH3947 awayH3947 thy fair jewels. 27And I will makeH2142 thy lewdness to ceaseH7673 from thee, and thy whoredom [brought] from the landH776 of EgyptH4714; and thou shalt not liftH5375 up thine eyesH5869 unto them, nor rememberH2142 EgyptH4714 any moreH4480. 28For thusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: Behold, I will giveH5414 thee over into the handH3027 of them whom thou hatest, into the handH3027 of them from whom thy soulH5315 is alienated. 29And they shall deal with thee in hatredH8135, and shall takeH3947 away all thy labour, and shall leaveH5800 thee nakedH5903 and bare; so that the nakednessH6172 of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy fornications. 30These thingsH428 shall be done unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the nationsH1471, because thou hast defiledH2930 thyself with their idolsH1544. 31Thou hast walkedH1980 in the wayH1870 of thy sisterH269; and I have givenH5414 her cupH3563 into thy handH3027. 32ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: Thou shalt drinkH8354 of thy sister's cupH3563 deepH6013 and large; thou shalt beH1961 for a laughing-stock and a derision, [for] it containeth much. 33Thou shalt be filledH4390 with drunkennessH7943 and sorrowH3015, with the cupH3563 of astonishment and desolationH8077, the cupH3563 of thy sisterH269 SamariaH8111; 34thou shalt even drinkH8354 it and suck it out, and thou shalt gnaw the sherds thereof, and pluck off thine own breastsH7699: for I have spokenH1696 [it], saith the LordH136 Jehovah. 35ThereforeH3651 thusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: Because thou hast forgottenH7911 me, and castH7993 me behind thy back, thereforeH3651 bearH5375 thou alsoH1571 thy lewdness and thy fornications. 36And Jehovah saidH559 unto me, SonH1121 of manH120, wilt thou judgeH8199 OholahH170 and OholibahH172? yea, declareH5046 unto them their abominationsH8441. 37For they have committedH5003 adulteryH5003, and bloodH1818 is in their handsH3027; and with their idolsH1544 have they committedH5003 adulteryH5003, and have alsoH1571 passedH5674 over unto them their children, whom they boreH3205 unto me, to be devoured. 38Moreover this have they done unto me: in the same dayH3117 have they defiledH2930 my sanctuaryH4720 and profanedH2490 my sabbathsH7676. 39For when they had slaughteredH7819 their children unto their idolsH1544, they cameH935 the same dayH3117 into my sanctuaryH4720 to profaneH2490 it; and behold, thusH3541 have they done in the midstH8432 of my houseH1004. 40And furthermore, they sentH7971 for menH376 to comeH935 from far, unto whom a messengerH4397 was sentH7971; and behold, they cameH935: for whom thou didst washH7364 thyself, paintedst thine eyesH5869, and deckedst thyself with ornamentsH5716; 41and satest upon a stately bedH4296, with a tableH7979 prepared before it, whereupon thou hadst setH7760 mine incenseH7004 and mine oilH8081. 42And the voiceH6963 of a multitudeH1995 living carelessly was with her; and with people of the common sort were broughtH935 Sabeans from the wildernessH4057, and they putH5414 braceletsH6781 upon their handsH3027, and a beautiful crownH5850 upon their headsH7218. 43And I saidH559 of her that was old in adulteriesH5004, Will she nowH6258 commit her fornications, even she. 44And they wentH935 in unto her, as they goH935 in unto a whorish womanH802: soH3651 wentH935 they in unto OholahH170 and unto OholibahH172 the lewd womenH802. 45And righteousH6662 menH376, they shall judgeH8199 them with the judgmentH4941 of adulteresses, and with the judgmentH4941 of women that shedH8210 bloodH1818; for they are adulteresses, and bloodH1818 is in their handsH3027. 46For thusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: I will bringH5927 up an assemblage against them, and will giveH5414 them to be driven hither and thither and spoiled. 47And the assemblage shall stoneH68 them with stonesH68, and despatch them with their swordsH2719; they shall killH2026 their sonsH1121 and their daughtersH1323, and burnH8313 their housesH1004 with fireH784. 48And I will cause lewdness to ceaseH7673 out of the landH776, and all womenH802 shall receive instruction and shall not do according to your lewdness. 49And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bearH5375 the sinsH2399 of your idolsH1544; and ye shall knowH3045 that I [am] the LordH136 Jehovah.
