Revised Version 1895

1In the fiveH2568 and twentiethH6242 yearH8141 of our captivity, in the beginningH7218 of the yearH8141, in the tenthH6218 dayH3117 of the monthH2320, in the fourteenth yearH8141 afterH310 that the cityH5892 was smittenH5221, in the selfsame dayH3117, the handH3027 of the LORDH3068 was uponH5921 meH5921, and he broughtH935 meH5921 thither. 2In the visionsH4759 of GodH430 broughtH935 he meH413 intoH413 the landH776 of IsraelH3478, and setH935 meH413 downH5117 uponH5921 a veryH3966 highH1364 mountainH2022, whereon was as it were the frame of a cityH5892 on the southH5045. 3And he broughtH935 meH935 thither, and beholdH2009, there was a manH376, whoseH376 appearanceH4758 was like the appearanceH4758 of brassH5178, with a lineH935 of flaxH6593 in his handH3027, and a measuringH7070 reedH7070; and he stoodH5975 in the gateH8179. 4And the manH376 saidH1696 unto meH413, SonH1121 of manH376, beholdH7200 with thine eyesH5869, and hearH8085 with thine earsH241, and setH7760 thine heartH3820 uponH935 allH3605 that I shall shew thee; for to the intent that I might shew them unto thee art thou broughtH935 hither: declareH5046 allH3605 that thou seest to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478. 5And beholdH2009, a wallH2346 on the outsideH2351 of the houseH1004 roundH5439 aboutH5439, and in the man’sH376 handH3027 a measuringH7070 reedH7070 of sixH8337 cubitsH520 longH2948, of a cubitH520 and an handbreadthH2948 eachH376: soH3027 he measuredH4058 the thicknessH7341 of the buildingH1146, one reedH7070; and the heightH6967, one reedH7070. 6Then cameH935 he unto the gateH8179 whichH834 looketh towardH413 the eastH6921, and wentH935 upH5927 the stepsH4609 thereof; and he measuredH4058 the threshold of the gateH8179, one reedH7070 broad: and the otherH259 threshold, one reedH7070 broad. 7And everyH259 lodge was one reedH7070 longH753, and one reedH7070 broad; and the space betweenH996 the lodges was fiveH2568 cubitsH520; and the threshold of the gateH8179 by the porchH197 of the gateH8179 towardH259 the houseH1004 was one reedH7070. 8He measuredH4058 also the porchH197 of the gateH8179 towardH259 the houseH1004, one reedH7070. 9Then measuredH4058 he the porchH197 of the gateH8179, eightH8083 cubitsH520; and the posts thereof, twoH8147 cubitsH520; and the porchH197 of the gateH8179 was toward the houseH1004. 10And the lodges of the gateH8179 eastward were threeH7969 on this sideH6311, and threeH7969 on that sideH6311; they threeH7969 were of one measure: and the posts had one measure on this sideH6311 and on that sideH6311. 11And he measuredH4058 the breadthH7341 of the openingH6607 of the gateH8179, tenH6235 cubitsH520; and the lengthH753 of the gateH8179 thirteenH6240 cubitsH520; 12and a borderH1366 beforeH6440 the lodges one cubitH520 on this sideH6311, and a borderH1366, one cubitH520 on that sideH6311; and the lodges sixH8337 cubitsH520 on this sideH6311, and sixH8337 cubitH520 on that sideH6311. 13And he measuredH4058 the gateH8179 from the roofH1406 of the one lodge to the roofH1406 of the otherH5048, a breadthH7341 of fiveH2568 and twentyH6242 cubitsH520; doorH6607 againstH5048 doorH6607. 14He madeH6213 also posts, threescore cubitsH520; and the courtH2691 reached unto the post, the gateH8179 being roundH5439 aboutH5439. 15And from the forefront of the gateH8179 at the entranceH8179 unto the forefront of the innerH6442 porchH197 of the gateH8179 were fiftyH2572 cubitsH520. 16And there were closed windowsH2474 to the lodges, and to their posts withinH6441 the gateH8179 roundH5439 aboutH5439, and likewise to the arches: and windowsH2474 were roundH5439 aboutH5439 inward: and uponH413 eachH5439 post were palmH8561 treesH8561. 17Then broughtH935 he meH413 intoH413 the outerH2435 courtH2691, and, loH2009, there were chambersH3957 and a pavementH7531, madeH6213 for the courtH2691 roundH5439 aboutH5439: thirtyH7970 chambersH3957 were uponH935 the pavementH7531. 18And the pavementH7531 was by the sideH3802 of the gatesH8179, answerable unto the lengthH753 of the gatesH8179, even the lowerH8481 pavementH7531. 19Then he measuredH4058 the breadthH7341 from the forefront of the lowerH8481 gateH8179 unto the forefront of the innerH6442 courtH2691 without, an hundredH3967 cubitsH520, both on the eastH6921 and on the northH6828. 20And the gateH8179 of the outerH2435 courtH2691 whoseH834 prospect is towardH1870 the northH6828, he measuredH4058 the lengthH753 thereof and the breadthH7341 thereof. 21And the lodges thereof were threeH7969 on this sideH6311 and threeH7969 on that sideH6311; and the posts thereof and the arches thereof were afterH1961 the measureH520 of the firstH7223 gateH8179: the lengthH753 thereof was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520, and the breadthH7341 fiveH2568 and twentyH6242 cubitsH520. 22And the windowsH2474 thereof, and the arches thereof, and the palmH8561 treesH8561 thereof, were after the measure of the gateH8179 whoseH834 prospect is towardH1870 the eastH6921; and they wentH5927 upH5927 unto it by sevenH7651 stepsH4609; and the arches thereof were beforeH6440 them. 23And there was a gateH8179 to the innerH6442 courtH2691 over againstH413 the otherH5048 gateH8179, both on the northH6828 and on the eastH6921; and he measuredH4058 from gateH8179 to gateH8179 an hundredH3967 cubitsH520. 24And he led me towardH1870 the southH1864, and beholdH2009 a gateH8179 towardH1870 the southH1864: and he measuredH4058 the posts thereof and the arches thereof according to theseH428 measures. 25And there were windowsH2474 in it and in the arches thereof roundH5439 aboutH5439, like thoseH428 windowsH2474: the lengthH753 was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520, and the breadthH7341 fiveH2568 and twentyH6242 cubitsH520. 26And there were sevenH7651 stepsH4609 to go upH413 to it, and the arches thereof were beforeH6440 them: and it had palmH8561 treesH8561, one on this sideH6311, and anotherH259 on that sideH6311, uponH413 the posts thereof. 27And there was a gateH8179 to the innerH6442 courtH2691 towardH413 the southH1864: and he measuredH4058 from gateH8179 to gateH8179 towardH413 the southH1864 an hundredH3967 cubitsH520. 28Then he broughtH935 meH413 to the innerH6442 courtH2691 by the southH1864 gateH8179: and he measuredH4058 the southH1864 gateH8179 accordingH413 to theseH428 measures; 29and the lodges thereof, and the posts thereof, and the arches thereof; according to theseH428 measures: and there were windowsH2474 in it and in the arches thereof roundH5439 aboutH5439: it was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520 longH753, and fiveH2568 and twentyH6242 cubitsH520 broad. 30And there were arches roundH5439 aboutH5439, fiveH2568 and twentyH6242 cubitsH520 longH753, and fiveH2568 cubitsH520 broad. 31And the arches thereof were towardH413 the outerH2435 courtH2691; and palmH8561 treesH8561 were uponH413 the posts thereof: and the going upH413 to it had eightH8083 stepsH4609. 32And he broughtH935 meH413 intoH413 the innerH6442 courtH2691 towardH413 the eastH6921: and he measuredH4058 the gateH8179 accordingH413 to theseH428 measures; 33and the lodges thereof, and the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, according to theseH428 measures: and there were windowsH2474 therein and in the arches thereof roundH5439 aboutH5439: it was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520 longH753, and fiveH2568 and twentyH6242 cubitsH520 broad. 34And the arches thereof were towardH413 the outerH2435 courtH2691; and palmH8561 treesH8561 were uponH413 the posts thereof, on this sideH6311, and on that sideH6311: and the going upH413 to it had eightH8083 stepsH4609. 35And he broughtH935 meH413 to the northH6828 gateH8179: and he measuredH4058 it accordingH413 to theseH428 measures; 36the lodges thereof, the posts thereof, and the arches thereof; and there were windowsH2474 therein roundH5439 aboutH5439: the lengthH753 was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520, and the breadthH7341 fiveH2568 and twentyH6242 cubitsH520. 37And the posts thereof were towardH413 the outerH2435 courtH2691; and palmH8561 treesH8561 were uponH413 the posts thereof, on this sideH6311, and on that sideH6311: and the going upH413 to it had eightH8083 stepsH4609. 38And a chamberH3957 with the doorH6607 thereof was by the posts at the gatesH8179; there they washedH1740 the burntH5930 offering. 39And in the porchH197 of the gateH8179 were twoH8147 tablesH7979 on this sideH6311, and twoH8147 tablesH7979 on that sideH6311, to slayH7819 thereon the burntH5930 offering and the sinH2403 offering and the guiltH817 offering. 40And on the one sideH3802 without, as one goeth upH5927 to the entryH6607 of the gateH8179 towardH413 the northH6828, were twoH8147 tablesH7979; and on the otherH312 sideH3802, whichH834 belongedH5927 to the porchH197 of the gateH8179, were twoH8147 tablesH7979. 41FourH702 tablesH7979 were on this sideH3802, and fourH702 tablesH7979 on that sideH3802, by the sideH3802 of the gateH8179;
