Ezekiel 4
Darby Bible
1And thou, sonH1121 of manH120, takeH3947 thee a brickH3843, and lay it before thee, and portray upon it a cityH5892, — JerusalemH3389: 2and lay siegeH4692 against it, and buildH1129 forts against it, and cast a mound against it, and setH7760 campsH4264 against it, and placeH7760 battering-rams against it roundH5439 about. 3And takeH3947 thou unto thee an ironH1270 plate, and putH5414 it [for] a wallH7023 of ironH1270 between thee and the cityH5892; and setH5414 thy faceH6440 against it, and it shall beH1961 besieged, and thou shalt lay siegeH4692 against it: this shall beH1961 a signH226 to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478. 4And thou, lieH7901 upon thy left sideH6654, and layH7901 the iniquityH5771 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 upon it: the numberH4557 of the daysH3117 that thou liest upon it, thou shalt bearH5375 their iniquityH5771. 5And I have appointed thee the yearsH8141 of their iniquityH5771, according to the numberH4557 of the daysH3117, threeH7969 hundredH3967 and ninetyH8673 daysH3117; and thou shalt bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478. 6And when thou hast accomplished them, thou shalt lieH7901 again on thy right sideH6654, and thou shalt bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 fortyH705 daysH3117: I have appointed thee each dayH3117 for a yearH8141. 7And thou shalt set thy faceH6440 toward the siegeH4692 of JerusalemH3389, and thine armH2220 shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesyH5012 against it. 8And behold, I lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turnH2015 thyself from one sideH6654 to the other, till thou hast endedH3615 the daysH3117 of thy siegeH4692. 9And thou, takeH3947 unto thee wheatH2406, and barleyH8184, and beansH6321, and lentilsH5742, and millet, and speltH3698, and putH5414 them in oneH259 vesselH3627, and makeH5414 thee breadH3899 thereof, [according to] the numberH4557 of the daysH3117 that thou liest upon thy sideH6654: threeH7969 hundredH3967 and ninetyH8673 daysH3117 shalt thou eatH398 thereof. 10And thy meat which thou shalt eatH398 shall be by weight, twentyH6242 shekelsH8255 a dayH3117: from timeH6256 to timeH6256 shalt thou eatH398 it. 11And thou shalt drinkH8354 waterH4325 by measureH4884, the sixthH8345 part of a hinH1969: from timeH6256 to timeH6256 shalt thou drinkH8354. 12And thou shalt eatH398 it [as] barley-cake, and thou shalt bake it in their sight with dungH1561 that cometh out of manH120. 13And Jehovah saidH559, So shall the children of IsraelH3478 eatH398 their breadH3899 uncleanH2931 among the nationsH1471 whither I will driveH5080 them. 14Then saidH559 I, Ah, LordH136 Jehovah! behold, my soulH5315 hath not been defiledH2930, and from my youthH5271 up even until nowH6258 have I not eatenH398 of that which dieth of itself, or of that which is tornH2966; neither cameH935 there abominable fleshH1320 into my mouthH6310. 15And he saidH559 unto me, SeeH7200, I have givenH5414 thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy breadH3899 therewith. 16And he saidH559 unto me, SonH1121 of manH120, behold, I breakH7665 the staffH4294 of breadH3899 in JerusalemH3389; and they shall eatH398 breadH3899 by weightH4948, and with anxietyH1674; and they shall drinkH8354 waterH4325 by measureH4884, and with astonishment: 17because breadH3899 and waterH4325 shall fail them, and they shall be astonied oneH376 with another, and waste awayH4743 in their iniquityH5771.
