Ezekiel 44
Darby Bible
1And he broughtH7725 me backH7725 toward the outerH2435 gateH8179 of the sanctuaryH4720 which looked toward the eastH6921; and it was shutH5462. 2And Jehovah saidH559 unto me, This gateH8179 shall beH1961 shutH5462; it shall not beH1961 openedH6605, and no oneH376 shall enter in by it: for Jehovah, the 1GodH430 of IsraelH3478, hath entered in by it; and it shall beH1961 shutH5462. 3As for the princeH5387, he, the princeH5387, shall sitH3427 in it to eatH398 breadH3899 before Jehovah: he shall enter by the wayH1870 of the porchH197 of the gateH8179, and shall goH3318 out by the wayH1870 of the same. 4And he broughtH935 me the wayH1870 of the northH6828 gateH8179 before the houseH1004; and I beheld, and lo, the gloryH3519 of Jehovah filledH4390 the houseH1004 of Jehovah: and I fellH5307 upon my faceH6440. 5And Jehovah saidH559 unto me, SonH1121 of manH120, apply thy heartH3820, and behold with thine eyesH5869, and hearH8085 with thine earsH241 all that I sayH559 unto thee concerningH413 all the statutesH2708 of the houseH1004 of Jehovah, and all the lawsH8451 thereof; and mark well the entering in of the houseH1004, with every going forth of the sanctuaryH4720; 6and sayH559 to the rebelliousH4805, to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: Let it suffice you of all your abominationsH8441, O houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, 7in that ye have broughtH935 strangers, uncircumcisedH6189 in heartH3820 and uncircumcisedH6189 in fleshH1320, to beH1961 in my sanctuaryH4720, to profaneH2490 it, [even] my houseH1004, when ye offered my breadH3899, the fatH2459 and the bloodH1818; and they have brokenH6565 my covenantH1285 besides all your abominationsH8441. 8And ye have not keptH8104 the chargeH4931 of my holyH6944 thingsH6944, but have setH7760 keepersH8104 of my chargeH4931 in my sanctuaryH4720 for yourselves. 9ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: No stranger, uncircumcisedH6189 in heartH3820 and uncircumcisedH6189 in fleshH1320, shall enter into my sanctuaryH4720, of any stranger that is among the children of IsraelH3478. 10But the LevitesH3881 who wentH8582 awayH5375 farH7368 from me, when IsraelH3478 wentH8582 astrayH8582, going astrayH8582 from me after their idolsH1544, they shall even bearH5375 their iniquityH5771; 11but they shall beH1961 ministers in my sanctuaryH4720, having oversightH6486 at the gatesH8179 of the houseH1004, and doing the service of the houseH1004: they shall slaughterH7819 the burnt-offering and the sacrificeH2077 for the peopleH5971, and they shall standH5975 before them to minister unto them. 12Because they ministered unto them before their idolsH1544, and were unto the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 a stumbling-block of iniquityH5771; thereforeH3651 have I liftedH5375 up my handH3027 against them, saith the LordH136 Jehovah, that they shall bearH5375 their iniquityH5771. 13And they shall not drawH5066 near unto me, to do the office of a priestH3547 unto me, nor to drawH5066 near to any of my holyH6944 thingsH6944, [even] to the most holyH6944; but they shall bearH5375 their confusion, and their abominationsH8441 which they have committed. 14And I will makeH5414 them keepersH8104 of the chargeH4931 of the houseH1004, for all the serviceH5656 thereof, and for all that shall be done therein. 15But the priestsH3548, the LevitesH3881, the sonsH1121 of ZadokH6659, that keptH8104 the chargeH4931 of my sanctuaryH4720 whenH834 the children of IsraelH3478 wentH8582 astrayH8582 from me, they shall approach unto me to minister unto me, and they shall standH5975 before me to presentH7126 unto me the fatH2459 and the bloodH1818, saith the LordH136 Jehovah. 16They shall enter into my sanctuaryH4720, and they shall approach unto my tableH7979, to minister unto me, and they shall keepH8104 my chargeH4931. 17And it shall comeH935 to pass when they enter in at the gatesH8179 of the innerH6442 courtH2691, they shall beH1961 clothedH3847 with linenH6593 garmentsH899; and no woolH6785 shall comeH935 upon them, when they minister in the gatesH8179 of the innerH6442 courtH2691, and towards the houseH1004. 18They shall have linenH6593 tires upon their headsH7218, and shall have linenH6593 breeches upon their loinsH4975; they shall not girdH2296 on anything that causeth sweat. 19And whenH834 they goH3318 forthH3318 into the outerH2435 courtH2691, into the outerH2435 courtH2691 to the peopleH5971, they shall putH3847 off their garmentsH899 wherein they ministered, and lay them in the holyH6944 cells; and they shall putH3847 on otherH312 garmentsH899, that they may not hallow the peopleH5971 with their garmentsH899. 20Neither shall they shaveH1548 their headsH7218, nor suffer their locks to grow long: they shall duly poll their headsH7218. 21Neither shall any priestH3548 drinkH8354 wineH3196 when they enter into the innerH6442 courtH2691. 22And they shall not takeH3947 for their wives a widowH490, nor her that is put awayH3947; but they shall takeH3947 maidens of the seedH2233 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, or a widowH490 that is the widowH490 of a priestH3548. 23And they shall teachH3384 my peopleH5971 [the difference] between holyH6944 and profaneH2455, and cause them to discern between uncleanH2931 and cleanH2889. 24And in controversy they shall standH5975 to judgeH8199: they shall judgeH8199 it according to my judgmentsH4941; and they shall keepH8104 my lawsH8451 and my statutesH2708 in all my solemnities; and they shall hallow my sabbathsH7676. 25And they shall comeH935 at no deadH4191 personH376 to becomeH1961 uncleanH2930; but for fatherH1, or for motherH517, or for sonH1121, or for daughterH1323, for brotherH251, or for sisterH269 that hath had no husbandH376, they may becomeH1961 uncleanH2930. 26And after he is cleansed, they shall countH5608 unto him sevenH7651 daysH3117. 27And on the dayH3117 that he goeth into the sanctuaryH6944, unto the innerH6442 courtH2691, to minister in the sanctuaryH6944, he shall presentH7126 his sin-offering, saith the LordH136 Jehovah. 28And it shall beH1961 unto them for an inheritanceH5159; I am their inheritanceH5159: and ye shall giveH5414 them no possessionH272 in IsraelH3478; I am their possessionH272. 29They shall eatH398 the oblation and the sin-offering and the trespass-offering; and every devoted thing in IsraelH3478 shall beH1961 theirs. 30And the firstH7225 of all the first-fruits of every [kind], and every heave-offering of every [kind], of all your heave-offerings, shall beH1961 for the priestsH3548; ye shall also giveH5414 unto the priestH3548 the firstH7225 of your doughH6182, that he may cause the blessingH1293 to restH5117 on thy houseH1004. 31The priestsH3548 shall not eatH398 of anything that dieth of itself, or of that which is tornH2966, whether of fowl or of beast.
