Ezekiel 15
Darby Bible
1And the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto me, sayingH559, 2SonH1121 of manH120, what is the woodH6086 of the vineH1612 more than any woodH6086, the vine-branch, which is among the treesH6086 of the forestH3293? 3Shall woodH6086 be takenH3947 thereof to do any workH4399? or will [men] takeH3947 a pinH3489 of it to hangH8518 any vesselH3627 thereon? 4Behold, it is givenH5414 to the fireH784 for fuelH402: the fireH784 consumeth both the endsH7098 of it, and the midstH8432 of it is burnedH2787; is it fit for [any] workH4399? 5Behold, when it wasH1961 whole, it wasH1961 used for no workH4399; how much less when the fireH784 hath consumedH398 it, and it is burnedH2787, should it yetH5750 beH1961 used for any workH4399? 6ThereforeH3651 thusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: As the woodH6086 of the vineH1612 among the treesH6086 of the forestH3293, which I have givenH5414 to the fireH784 for fuelH402, soH3651 will I giveH5414 the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389. 7And I will setH7760 my faceH6440 against them: they shall goH3318 forthH3318 from [one] fireH784, and [another] fireH784 shall devourH398 them; and ye shall knowH3045 that I [am] Jehovah when I setH7760 my faceH6440 against them. 8And I will makeH5414 the landH776 a desolationH8077, because they have wrought unfaithfulnessH4604, saith the LordH136 Jehovah.
