2 Corinthians 11
Darby Bible
1Would that ye would bearG430 with me [in] a littleG3398 folly; but indeed bearG430 with me. 2For I am jealousG2206 as to you with a jealousyG2205 [which is] of 1GodG2316; for I have espoused you unto oneG1520 manG435, to presentG3936 [you] a chaste virginG3933 to ChristG5547. 3But I fearG5399 lestG3361 by any means, as the serpentG3789 deceivedG1818 EveG2096 by his craft, [so] your thoughts should be corruptedG5351 from simplicity as to the ChristG5547. 4For if indeedG1063 he that comesG2064 preachesG2784 another JesusG2424, whom we have not preachedG2784, or ye get a differentG2087 SpiritG4151, which ye have not got, or a differentG2087 glad tidings, which ye have not receivedG2983, ye might wellG2573 bearG430 with [it]. 5For I reckon that in nothingG3367 I am behind those who are in surpassing degree apostlesG652. 6But if [I am] a simple person in speechG3056, yet not in knowledgeG1108, but in everythingG3956 making [the truth] manifestG5319 in all thingsG3956 to you. 7Have I committed sinG266, abasing myself in orderG2443 that ye might be exaltedG5312, because I gratuitously announced to you the glad tidings of 2GodG2316? 8I spoiled otherG243 assemblies, receivingG2983 hire for ministryG1248 towards you. 9And being presentG3918 with you and lackingG5303, I did not lazily burdenG2655 any oneG3588, (for the brethren who cameG2064 from MacedoniaG3109 supplied what I lackedG5302,) and in everythingG3956 I keptG5083 myself from being a burdenG2655 to you, and will keepG5083 myself. 10[The] truthG225 of ChristG5547 isG1510 in me that this boastingG2746 shall not beG1510 stopped as to me in the regionsG2824 of AchaiaG882. 11WhyG5101? because I do not loveG25 you? 3GodG2316 knows. 12But what I do, I will alsoG2532 do, that I may cutG1581 off the opportunityG874 of those wishingG2309 [for] an opportunityG874, that wherein they boastG2744 they may be foundG2147 evenG2532 as we. 13For suchG5108 [are] false apostlesG652, deceitful workersG2040, transforming themselves into apostlesG652 of ChristG5547. 14And [it is] not wonderful, for SatanG4567 himself transforms himself into an angelG32 of lightG5457. 15It isG1510 no greatG3173 thing thereforeG3767 if his ministers alsoG2532 transform themselves as ministers of righteousnessG1343; whose endG5056 shall beG1510 accordingG2596 to their worksG2041. 16AgainG3825 I sayG3004, Let not any oneG5100 thinkG1380 me to beG1510 a foolG878; but if otherwise, receiveG1209 me thenG1161 even as a foolG878, that I alsoG1161 may boastG2744 myself some littleG3398. 17What I speakG2980 I do not speakG2980 accordingG2596 to [the] LordG2962, but as in folly, in this confidenceG5287 of boastingG2746. 18Since manyG4183 boastG2744 accordingG2596 to fleshG4561, I also will boastG2744. 19For ye bearG430 foolsG878 readily, beingG1510 wiseG5429. 20For ye bearG430 if any oneG5100 bring you into bondage, if any oneG5100 devourG2719 [you], if any oneG5100 get [your money], if any oneG5100 exalt himself, if any oneG5100 beatG1194 you on the faceG4383. 21I speakG3004 as to dishonour, as though we had been weakG770; but wherein any oneG5100 is daring, (I speakG3004 in folly,) I alsoG1161 am daring. 22AreG1510 they HebrewsG1445? I also. AreG1510 they IsraelitesG2475? I also. AreG1510 they seedG4690 of AbrahamG11? I also. 23AreG1510 they ministers of ChristG5547? (I speakG2980 as beingG1510 beside myself) I above measure [so]; in labours exceedingly abundant, in stripes to excess, in prisonsG5438 exceedingly abundant, in deaths oft. 24From the JewsG2453 five times have I receivedG2983 fortyG5062 [stripes], save oneG1520. 25Thrice have I been scourged, onceG530 I have been stonedG3034, threeG5151 times I have suffered shipwreck, a night and day I passed in the deep: 26in journeyings oftenG4178, in perils of riversG4215, in perils of robbersG3027, in perils from [my own] raceG1085, in perils from [the] nationsG1484, in perils in [the] cityG4172, in perils in [the] desert, in perils on [the] seaG2281, in perils among falseG5569 brethren; 27in labour and toil, in watchings oftenG4178, in hungerG3042 and thirst, in fastings oftenG4178, in coldG5592 and nakednessG1132. 28Besides those thingsG3956 that are without, the crowd [of caresG3308] pressing on me daily, the burden of all the assemblies. 29Who is weakG770, and I am not weakG770? Who is stumbled, and I burnG4448 not? 30If it is needful to boastG2744, I will boastG2744 in the things which concern my infirmityG769. 31The 4GodG2316 and FatherG3962 of the LordG2962 JesusG2424 knows — he who isG1510 blessed for ever — that I do not lieG5574. 32In DamascusG1154 the ethnarch of Aretas the kingG935 kept the cityG4172 of the Damascenes shut up, wishing to take me; 33and through a windowG2376 in a basket I was let down by the wallG5038, and escapedG1628 his handsG5495.
