2 Corinthians 2
1But I have judgedG2919 this with myself, not to comeG2064 back to you in griefG3077. 2For if I grieveG3076 you, who alsoG2532 [is] it that gladdens me, if not he that is grievedG3076 through me? 3And I have writtenG1125 this very [letter] [to you], that comingG2064 I may not have griefG3077 from those from whom I oughtG1163 to have joyG5479; trustingG3982 in you all that my joyG5479 isG1510 [that] of you all. 4For out of muchG4183 tribulationG2347 and distress of heartG2588 I wroteG1125 to you, with manyG4183 tearsG1144; not that ye may be grievedG3076, but that ye may knowG1097 the loveG26 which I have very abundantly towards you. 5But if any oneG5100 has grievedG3076, he has grievedG3076, not me, but in partG3313 (that I may not overcharge [you]) all of you. 6SufficientG2425 to such a oneG3778 [is] this rebuke which [has been inflicted] by the manyG4183; 7so that on the contraryG5121 ye should ratherG3123 shew grace and encourageG3870, lestG3361 perhaps such a oneG3588 should be swallowedG2666 up with excessiveG4053 griefG3077. 8Wherefore I exhortG3870 you to assure him of [your] loveG26. 9For to this end alsoG2532 I have writtenG1125, that I might knowG1097, by putting you to the test, if as to everythingG3956 ye areG1510 obedientG5255. 10But to whom ye forgiveG5483 anythingG5100, I alsoG2532; for I alsoG2532, what I have forgivenG5483, if I have forgivenG5483 anythingG5100, [it is] for your sakesG1223 in [the] person of ChristG5547; 11that we might not have SatanG4567 get an advantage against us, for we are not ignorantG50 of his thoughts. 12NowG1161 when I cameG2064 to TroasG5174 for the [publication of the] glad tidings of the ChristG5547, a doorG2374 alsoG2532 being openedG455 to me in [the] LordG2962, 13I had no restG425 in my spiritG4151 at not findingG2147 TitusG5103 my brotherG80; but bidding them adieu, I cameG1831 awayG1831 to MacedoniaG3109. 14But thanksG5485 [be] to 1GodG2316, who alwaysG3842 leads us in triumph in the ChristG5547, and makes manifestG5319 the odour of his knowledgeG1108 through us in every placeG5117. 15For we areG1510 a sweet odour of ChristG5547 to 2GodG2316, in the savedG4982 and in those that perishG622: 16to the oneG3739 an odour from deathG2288 unto deathG2288, but to the others an odour from lifeG2222 unto lifeG2222; and who [is] sufficientG2425 for these thingsG3778? 17For we do not, as the manyG4183, make a trade of the wordG3056 of 3GodG2316; but as of sincerityG1505, but as of 4GodG2316, before 5GodG2316, we speakG2980 in ChristG5547.
