2 Corinthians 9
Darby Bible
1For concerningG4012 the ministration which [isG1510] for the saintsG40, it isG1510 superfluous my writingG1125 to you. 2For I know your readinessG4288, which I boastG2744 of as respects you to MacedoniansG3110, that AchaiaG882 is prepared since a yearG4070 ago, and the zealG2205 [reported] of you has stimulated the mass [of the brethren]. 3But I have sentG3992 the brethren, in orderG2443 that our boastingG2745 about you may not beG1510 made voidG2758 in this respect, in orderG2443 that, as I have saidG3004, ye may beG1510 prepared; 4lestG3361 haply, if MacedoniansG3110 comeG2064 with me and findG2147 you unprepared, we, that we sayG3004 not ye, may be put to shameG2617 in this confidenceG5287. 5I thought it necessaryG316 thereforeG3767 to beg the brethren that they would come to you, and complete beforehand your fore-announced blessingG2129, that this may beG1510 readyG2092 thus as blessingG2129, and not as got out of you. 6But this [is true], he that sowsG4687 sparinglyG5340 shall reapG2325 alsoG2532 sparinglyG5340; and he that sowsG4687 in [the spirit of] blessingG2129 shall reapG2325 alsoG2532 in blessingG2129: 7each according as he is purposed in his heartG2588; not grievingly, or of necessityG318; for 1GodG2316 lovesG25 a cheerful giver. 8But 2GodG2316 is ableG1414 to make every gracious gift aboundG4052 towards you, that, having in every way alwaysG3842 all-sufficiency, ye may aboundG4052 to every goodG18 workG2041: 9according as it is writtenG1125, He has scatteredG4650 abroad, he has givenG1325 to the poor, his righteousnessG1343 remainsG3306 for ever. 10NowG1161 he that supplies seedG4690 to the sower and breadG740 for eatingG1035 shall supply and make abundant your sowingG4687, and increase the fruits of your righteousnessG1343: 11enrichedG4148 in every way unto all free-hearted liberality, which works through us thanksgivingG2169 to 3GodG2316. 12Because the ministration of this serviceG1248 isG1510 not onlyG3440 filling up the measure of what isG1510 lackingG5303 to the saintsG40, but alsoG2532 aboundingG4052 by manyG4183 thanksgivingsG2169 to 4GodG2316; 13they glorifyingG1392 5GodG2316 through the proofG1382 of this ministration, by reason of your subjection, by profession, to the glad tidings of the ChristG5547, and your free-hearted liberality in communicating towards them and towards all; 14and in their supplicationG1162 for you, full of ardent desire for you, on accountG1223 of the exceeding graceG5485 of 6GodG2316 [which is] upon you. 15ThanksG5485 [be] to 7GodG2316 for his unspeakable free giftG1431.
