1 My brethren , do not have the faith πίστιν pistin G4102 of our Lord κυρίου kuriou G2962 Jesus Ἰησοῦ Iēsou G2424 Christ Χριστοῦ Christou G5547 , [ Lord G2962 ] of glory δόξης. doxēs G1391 , with respect of persons: 2 for if there come εἰσέλθῃ eiselthē G1525 unto your synagogue G4864 a man ἀνὴρ anēr G435 with a gold ring in splendid λαμπρᾷ, lampra G2986 apparel ἐσθῆτι esthēti G2066 , and a poor πτωχὸς ptōchos G4434 man G435 also καὶ kai G2532 come εἰσέλθῃ eiselthē G1525 in in vile apparel ἐσθῆτι esthēti G2066 , 4 have ye not made a difference among yourselves , and become ἐγένεσθε egenesthe G1096 judges G2923 having evil πονηρῶν;¶ ponērōn G4190 thoughts διαλογισμῶν dialogismōn G1261 ? 5 Hear G191 , my beloved ἀγαπητοί, agapētoi G27 brethren : Has not God θεὸς theos G2316 chosen the poor πτωχοὺς ptōchous G4434 as to the world κόσμῳ kosmō G2889 , rich πλουσίους plousious G4145 in faith πίστει pistei G4102 , and heirs κληρονόμους klēronomous G2818 of the kingdom βασιλείας basileias G932 , which he has promised G1861 to them that love G25 him ? 6 But ye have despised the poor πτωχόν. ptōchon G4434 [ man G4145 ]. Do not the rich πλούσιοι plousioi G4145 oppress you , and [ do not ] they drag you before [ the ] tribunals? 7 And [ do not ] they blaspheme G987 the excellent name ὄνομα onoma G3686 which has been called ἐπικληθὲν epiklēthen G1941 upon you ? 8 If indeed ye keep [ the ] royal βασιλικὸν basilikon G937 law νόμον nomon G3551 according κατὰ kata G2596 to the scripture γραφήν· graphēn G1124 , Thou shalt love ἀγαπήσεις agapēseis G25 thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well καλῶς kalōs G2573 . 9 But if ye have respect of persons, ye commit sin ἁμαρτίαν hamartian G266 , being convicted ἐλεγχόμενοι elegchomenoi G1651 by the law νόμου nomou G3551 as transgressors G3848 . 10 For whoever shall keep τηρήσῃ, tērēsē G5083 the whole G3650 law νόμον nomon G3551 and shall offend in one ἑνί, heni G1520 [point], he has come G1096 under the guilt of [breaking] all . 11 For he who said G3004 , Thou shalt not commit μοιχεύσῃς, moicheusēs G3431 adultery μοιχεύεις moicheueis G3431 , said G3004 also καὶ kai G2532 , Thou shalt not kill.
