2“SoοὖνounG3767whenὍτανHotanG3752yougiveποιῇςpoiēasG4160to the poor, do not soundσαλπίσῃςsalpisēsG4537aG4537trumpetG4537beforeἔμπροσθένemprosthenG1715you, as the hypocritesὑποκριταὶhupokritaiG5273doποιοῦσινpoiousinG4160in the synagoguesσυναγωγαῖςsunagōgaisG4864and on the streetsῥύμαιςrhumaisG4505,soὅπωςhopōsG3704thatG3704theywill be praisedδοξασθῶσινdoxasthōsinG1392by peopleἀνθρώπων.anthrōpōnG444.TrulyἀμὴνamēnG281I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you, they haveG568their rewardμισθὸνmisthonG3408in fullG568.

3But when yougiveποιοῦντοςpoiountosG4160to the poor, do not let your leftἀριστεράaristeraG710handG710knowγνώτωgnōtōG1097whatτίtiG5101your rightδεξιάdexiaG1188handG1188is doingποιεῖpoieiG4160,

4soὅπωςhopōsG3704thatG3704your charitableG1654givingG1654will be in secretκρυπτῷ.kruptōG2927; andyour FatherπατήρpatērG3962who seesβλέπωνblepōnG991what is donein secretκρυπτῷkruptōG2927will rewardἀποδώσειapodōseiG591you.
