1WhenὅτεhoteG3753they had approachedἤγγισανēngisanG1448JerusalemἹεροσόλυμαHi'erosolumaG2414and had comeἦλθονēlthonG2064to BethphageΒηθφαγὴBēthphagēG967, atthe MountὄροςorosG3735of OlivesG1636,JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424thenτότεtoteG5119sentἀπέστειλενapesteilenG649twoδύοduoG1417disciplesμαθητὰςmathētasG3101,

2sayingλέγωνlegōnG3004to them,“GoπορεύεσθεporeuestheG4198into the villageκώμηνkōmēnG2968oppositeκατέναντιkatenantiG2713you, and immediatelyG2117you will findεὑρήσετεheurēseteG2147a donkeyὄνονononG3688tiedδεδεμένηνdedemenēnG1210thereand a coltπῶλονpōlonG4454with it. UntieλύσαντεςlusantesG3089them and bringἀγάγετέagageteG71them to Me.

3And ifἐάνeanG1437anyoneτιςtisG5100saysG3004anythingτι,tiG5100to you, you shall sayG3004, ‘The LordκύριοςkuriosG2962needsχρείαν ἔχει,chreian echeiG2192 G5532them,’ and he will sendἀποστελεῖaposteleiG649them onG649immediatelyG2117.”

4NowthisΤοῦτοToutoG3778tookG1096placeG1096soG2443thatG2443whatG3588was spokenλέγοντος·legontosG3004throughδιὰdiaG1223the prophetπροφήτουprophētouG4396would be fulfilledπληρωθῇplērōthēaG4137:

5“SayG3004to the daughterθυγατρὶthugatriG2364of ZionΣιών·SiōnG4622, ‘BeholdἰδοὺidouG2400your KingβασιλεύςbasileusG935is comingἔρχεταίerchetaiG2064to you,HumbleG4239,and mountedἐπιβεβηκὼςepibebēkōsG1910on a donkeyὄνονononG3688,EvenG2532on a coltπῶλονpōlonG4454,the foalυἱὸνhuionG5207of a donkeyὑποζυγίου.¶hupozugiouG5268.’”

6The disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101wentΠορευθέντεςPoreuthentesG4198and didποιήσαντεςpoiēsantesG4160justG2531asG2531JesusἸησοῦς,IēsousG2424had instructedσυνέταξενsunetaxenG4929them,

7and broughtἤγαγονēgagonG71the donkeyὄνονononG3688and the coltπῶλονpōlonG4454,and laidἐπέθηκανepethēkanG2007their cloaksἱμάτιαhimatiaG2440on them; and He satἐπεκάθισενepekathisenG1940onthe cloaksG2440.

8MostG4183of the crowdὄχλοςochlosG3793spreadἔστρωσανestrōsanG4766their cloaksἱμάτιαhimatiaG2440on the roadὁδῷ,hodōG3598,and othersἄλλοιalloiG243were cuttingἔκοπτονekoptonG2875branchesκλάδουςkladousG2798from the treesδένδρωνdendrōnG1186and spreadingἐστρώννυονestrōnnuonG4766them on the roadὁδῷ.hodōG3598.

9NowδὲdeG1161the crowdsὄχλοιochloiG3793goingG4254aheadG4254of Him, and thoseG3588who followedἀκολουθοῦντεςakolouthountesG190,were shoutingἔκραζονekrazonG2896, “HosannaὡσαννὰhōsannaG5614to theSonυἱῷhuiōG5207of DavidG1160;BlessedεὐλογημένοςeulogēmenosG2127is the One who comesἐρχόμενοςerchomenosG2064in the nameὀνόματιonomatiG3686of the Lordκυρίου,kuriouG2962;HosannaὡσαννὰhōsannaG5614in the highestὑψίστοις.¶hupsistoisG5310!”

10When He had enteredεἰσελθόντοςeiselthontosG1525JerusalemἹεροσόλυμαHi'erosolumaG2414,allπᾶσαpasaG3956the cityπόλιςpolisG4172was stirredἐσείσθηeseisthēG4579,sayingλέγουσα·legousaG3004, “WhoτίςtisG5101is thisοὗτος;¶houtosG3778?”

11And the crowdsὄχλοιochloiG3793were sayingἔλεγον·elegonG3004, “ThisοὗτόςhoutosG3778isJesusἸησοῦς,IēsousG2424the prophetπροφήτηςprophētēsG4396, fromNazarethΝαζαρὲθNazarethG3478in GalileeΓαλιλαίας.¶GalilaiasG1056.”

12And JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424enteredεἰσῆλθενeisēlthenG1525the templeG2413areaand droveG1544outG1544allπάνταςpantasG3956thoseG3588who were sellingπωλοῦνταςpōlountasG4453and buyingἀγοράζονταςagorazontasG59on the templeG2413grounds,and He overturnedκατέστρεψενkatestrepsenG2690the tablesτραπέζαςtrapezasG5132of themoneyκολλυβιστῶνkollubistōnG2855changersG2855and the seatsκαθέδραςkathedrasG2515of thoseG3588who were sellingπωλούντωνpōlountōnG4453dovesπεριστεράς.peristerasG4058.

13And He saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them,“It is writtenγέγραπται·gegraptaiG1125: ‘My houseοἶκόςoikosG3624will be calledκληθήσεται,klēthēsetaiG2564a houseοἶκοςoikosG3624of prayerπροσευχῆςproseuchēsG4335’;but you are makingποιεῖτεpoieiteG4160it adenσπήλαιονspēlaionG4693of robbersλῃστῶν.lēstōnG3027.”

14And those who wereblindτυφλοὶtuphloiG5185and those wholimpedχωλοὶchōloiG5560cameπροσῆλθονprosēlthonG4334to Him in the templeG2413area, andHe healedἐθεράπευσενetherapeusenG2323them.

15But when the chiefἀρχιερεῖςarchiereisG749priestsG749and the scribesγραμματεῖςgrammateisG1122sawG3708the wonderfulG2297thingsG2297that He had doneἐποίησενepoiēsenG4160,and the childrenπαῖδαςpaidasG3816who were shoutingκράζονταςkrazontasG2896in the templeG2413area, “HosannaὡσαννὰhōsannaG5614to theSonυἱῷhuiōG5207of DavidG1160,”they became indignantἠγανάκτησανēganaktēsanG23,

16and they saidλέγουσιν;legousinG3004to Him, “Do You hearἀκούειςakoueisG191whatτίtiG5101theseοὗτοιhoutoiG3778childrenare sayingλέγειlegeiG3004?”And JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424saidG3004to them,“Yesναί.naiG3483.Have you neverοὐδέποτεoudepoteG3763readἀνέγνωτεanegnōteG314, ‘From the mouthsστόματοςstomatosG4750of infantsνηπίωνnēpiōnG3516and nursingG2337babiesG2337You have preparedκατηρτίσωkatērtisōG2675praiseαἶνον;¶ainonG136for Yourself’?”

17And He leftκαταλιπὼνkatalipōnG2641them and wentG1831outG1831of the cityπόλεωςpoleōsG4172toBethanyΒηθανίανBēthanianG963,and spentG835theG835nightG835thereἐκεῖ.ekeiG1563.
