Luke 7:18-35

And the disciplesG3101 of JohnG2491 brought him wordG518 concerningG4012 all these thingsG3778:

and JohnG2491, having called twoG1417 of his disciplesG3101, sentG3992 to Jesus, sayingG3004, Art thou he that isG1510 comingG2064, or areG1510 we to wait for another?

But the menG435 having comeG2064 to him saidG3004, JohnG2491 the baptistG910 has sentG649 us to thee, sayingG3004, Art thou he that isG1510 comingG2064, or areG1510 we to wait for another?

In that hourG5610 he healedG2323 manyG4183 of diseasesG3554 and plagues and evilG4190 spiritsG4151, and to manyG4183 blindG5185 he grantedG5483 sight.

And Jesus answeringG611 saidG3004 to them, GoG4198, bringG2097 back wordG518 to JohnG2491 of what ye have seenG3708 and heardG191: that blindG5185 seeG3708, lameG5560 walkG4043, lepersG3015 are cleansedG2511, deafG2974 hearG191, deadG3498 are raisedG1453, poorG4434 are evangelized;

and blessed isG1510 whosoever shall not beG1510 offendedG4624 in me.

And the messengersG32 of JohnG2491 having departedG565, he beganG757 to speakG3004 to the crowdsG3793 concerningG4012 JohnG2491: What wentG1831 ye out into the wildernessG2048 to behold? a reedG2563 shakenG4531 by the windG417?

But what wentG1831 ye out to seeG3708? a manG444 clothed in delicate garmentsG2440? BeholdG2400, those who areG1510 in splendid clothingG2440 and live luxuriously areG1510 in the courts of kings.

But what wentG1831 ye out to seeG3708? a prophetG4396? Yea, I sayG3004 to you, and [what is] more excellent than a prophetG4396.

This isG1510 he concerningG4012 whom it isG1510 writtenG1125, BeholdG2400, I sendG649 my messengerG32 before thy faceG4383, who shall prepareG2680 thy wayG3598 before thee;

for I sayG3004 unto you, Among them that areG1510 born of womenG1135 a greaterG3173 [prophetG4396] isG1510 no oneG3762 than JohnG2491 [the baptist]; but he who isG1510 a littleG3398 oneG3762 in the kingdomG932 of 1GodG2316 isG1510 greaterG3173 than he.

(And all the peopleG2992 who heardG191 [it], and the tax-gatherers, justifiedG1344 2GodG2316, having been baptised with the baptismG908 of JohnG2491;

but the PhariseesG5330 and the lawyersG3544 rendered null as to themselves the counselG1012 of 3GodG2316, not having been baptised by him.)

To whom thereforeG3767 shall I liken the menG444 of this generationG1074, and to whom areG1510 they like?

They areG1510 like childrenG3813 sittingG2521 in the market-place, and calling oneG240 to another and sayingG3004, We have piped to you, and ye have not dancedG3738; we have mourned to you, and ye have not weptG2799.

For JohnG2491 the baptistG910 has comeG2064 neither eatingG2068 breadG740 nor drinkingG4095 wineG3631, and ye sayG3004, He has a demonG1140.

The SonG5207 of manG444 has comeG2064 eatingG2068 and drinkingG4095, and ye sayG3004, BeholdG2400 an eater and wine-drinker, a friendG5384 of tax-gatherers and sinnersG268;

and wisdomG4678 has been justifiedG1344 of all her childrenG5043.
