Luke 12:40-53

40And ye therefore, be ye readyG2092, for in the hourG5610 in which ye do not thinkG1380 [it], the SonG5207 of manG444 comesG2064.

41And PeterG4074 saidG3004 to him, LordG2962, sayest thou this parableG3850 to us, or alsoG2532 to all?

42And the LordG2962 saidG3004, Who then isG1510 the faithfulG4103 and prudent stewardG3623, whom his lordG2962 will setG2525 over his household, to giveG1325 the measure of corn in seasonG2540?

43Blessed is that bondman whom his lordG2962 [on] comingG2064 shall findG2147 doing thusG3779;

44verily I sayG3004 unto you, that he will setG2525 him over all that he has.

45But if that bondman should sayG3004 in his heartG2588, My lordG2962 delays to comeG2064, and begin to beatG5180 the menservants and the maidservants, and to eatG2068 and to drinkG4095 and to be drunken,

46the lordG2962 of that bondman shall comeG2240 in a dayG2250 when he does not expectG4328 it, and in an hourG5610 he knowsG1097 not of, and shall cutG1371 him in two and appoint his portionG3313 with the unbelieversG571.

47But that bondman who knewG1097 his own lord's will, and had not preparedG2090 [himself] nor done his will, shall be beatenG1194 with manyG4183 [stripes];

48but he who knewG1097 [it] not, and did thingsG3956 worthyG514 of stripes, shall be beatenG1194 with fewG3641. And to every oneG3739 to whom muchG4183 has been givenG1325, muchG4183 shall be required from him; and to whom [men] have committed muchG4183, they will askG154 from him the moreG4183.

49I have comeG2064 to castG906 a fireG4442 on the earthG1093; and what will I if alreadyG2235 it has been kindled?

50But I have a baptismG908 to be baptised with, and howG4459 am I straitened until it shall have been accomplishedG5055!

51ThinkG1380 ye that I have comeG3854 to giveG1325 peaceG1515 in the earthG1093? Nay, I sayG3004 to you, but ratherG235 division:

52for from henceforth there shall beG1510 fiveG4002 in oneG1520 houseG3624 dividedG1266; threeG5140 shall beG1510 dividedG1266 against twoG1417, and twoG1417 against threeG5140:

53fatherG3962 against sonG5207, and sonG5207 against fatherG3962; motherG3384 against daughterG2364, and daughterG2364 against motherG3384; a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
