27ThenG2532beginningἀρξάμενοςarxamenosG757withMosesΜωϋσέωςMōuseōsG3475andwith allπάντωνpantōnG3956theProphetsπροφητῶνprophētōnG4396,He explainedδιερμήνευσενdiermēneusenG1329to them the things writtenaboutπερὶperiG4012Himselfἑαυτοῦ.he'autouG1438in allπάσαιςpasaisG3956the ScripturesγραφαῖςgraphaisG1124.

28And they approachedἤγγισανēngisanG1448the villageκώμηνkōmēnG2968whereοὗhouG3757they were goingἐπορεύοντο,eporeuontoG4198, andHe gaveG4364theG4364impressionG4364that He was goingπορεύεσθαι.poreuesthaiG4198fartherπορρώτερονporrōteronG4206.

29And sothey stronglyG3849urgedG3849Him, sayingλέγοντες·legontesG3004, “StayμεῖνονmeinonG3306with us, for it is gettingtowardπρὸςprosG4314eveningἑσπέρανhesperanG2073,and the dayἡμέρα.hēmeraG2250is nowἤδηēdēG2235nearlyG2827overG2827.”SoG2532He wentG1525inG1525to stayμεῖναιmeinaiG3306with them.

30And it cameG1096aboutG1096,whenἐνenG1722He had reclinedκατακλιθῆναιkataklithēnaiG2625at the tablewith them, that He tookλαβὼνlabōnG2983the breadἄρτονartonG740andblessedεὐλόγησενeulogēsenG2127it,and He brokeκλάσαςklasasG2806it and begangivingἐπεδίδουepedidouG1929it to them.

31And then theireyesὀφθαλμοὶophthalmoiG3788were openedδιηνοίχθησανdiēnoichthēsanG1272and they recognizedἐπέγνωσανepegnōsanG1921Him; and He vanishedἄφαντοςaphantosG855fromtheir sightG846.

32They saidG3004to oneἀλλήλους·allēlousG240anotherG240, “Were our heartsκαρδίαkardiaG2588not burningκαιομένηkaiomenēG2545withinG1722us whenὡςhōsG5613He was speakingἐλάλειelaleiG2980to us on the roadὁδῷhodōG3598,whileὡςhōsG5613He wasexplainingδιήνοιγενdiēnoigenG1272the Scripturesγραφάς;¶graphasG1124to us?”

33And they gotG450upG450that veryG846hourὥρᾳhōraG5610and returnedὑπέστρεψανhupestrepsanG5290to JerusalemἸερουσαλὴμIerousalēmG2419, andfoundεὗρονheuronG2147the elevenἕνδεκαhendekaG1733gatheredG120togetherG120andthoseG3588whoG3588were with them,

34sayingλέγονταςlegontasG3004, “The LordκύριοςkuriosG2962has reallyὄντωςontōsG3689risenἠγέρθηēgerthēG1453andhas appearedG3708to SimonΣίμωνι.SimōniG4613!”

35They beganto relateἐξηγοῦντοexēgountoG1834their experiencesG3588on the roadὁδῷhodōG3598,and howὡςhōsG5613He was recognizedἐγνώσθηegnōsthēG1097by them at the breakingκλάσειklaseiG2800of the breadἄρτου.¶artouG740.

36NowδὲdeG1161while they were tellingλαλούντωνlalountōnG2980theseG3778thingsΤαῦταTautaG3778, JesusHimselfG846suddenlystoodἔστηestēG2476in their midstμέσῳmesōG3319and saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them,“PeaceεἰρήνηeirēnēG1515be to you.”

37But they were startledπτοηθέντεςptoēthentesG4422and frightenedἔμφοβοιemphoboiG1719,and thoughtἐδόκουνedokounG1380that they were lookingθεωρεῖν.theōreinG2334ata spiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151.

38And He saidG3004to them,“WhyτίtiG5101are you frightenedτεταραγμένοιtetaragmenoiG5015,and whyδιὰ τίdia tiG1223 G5101are doubtsδιαλογισμοὶdialogismoiG1261arisingἀναβαίνουσινanabainousinG305in yourheartsκαρδίᾳkardiaG2588?

39SeeG3708My handsχεῖράςcheirasG5495and My feetπόδαςpodasG4228, thatit is I Myselfαὐτός·autosG846;touchψηλαφήσατέpsēlaphēsateG5584Me and seeG3708,becauseG3754a spiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151does not haveἔχειecheiG2192fleshσάρκαsarkaG4561and bonesὀστέαosteaG3747as you plainlyseeθεωρεῖτεtheōreiteG2334that I haveἔχοντα.echontaG2192.”

40And when He had saidG3004thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778,He showedἔδειξενedeixenG1166them His handsχεῖραςcheirasG5495and His feetπόδας.podasG4228.

41While they stillἔτιetiG2089could notG569believeG569itbecauseἀπὸapoG575of their joyχαρᾶςcharasG5479and astonishmentθαυμαζόντωνthaumazontōnG2296,He saidG3004to them, “HaveἔχετέecheteG2192you anythingτιtiG5100hereἐνθάδε;enthadeG1759toG1034eatG1034?”

42They servedἐπέδωκανepedōkanG1929Him a pieceμέροςmerosG3313of broiledὀπτοῦoptouG3702fishἰχθύοςichthuosG2486;

43and He tookλαβὼνlabōnG2983it andateG2068itinG1799frontG1799ofG1799them.
