25And whileὡςhōsG5613JohnἸωάννηςIōannēsG2491was completingἐπλήρουeplērouG4137his courseδρόμονdromonG1408,he kept sayingἔλεγεν·elegenG3004, ‘WhatτίtiG5101do you supposeὑπονοεῖτεhuponoeiteG5282that I amG1510?I amG1510not He.But beholdἰδοὺidouG2400,One is comingἔρχεταιerchetaiG2064afterμετ᾽met᾽G3326me, the sandalsὑπόδημαhupodēmaG5266of whoseοὗhouG3739feetποδῶνpodōnG4228I amG1510not worthyἄξιοςaxiosG514to untieλῦσαι.¶lusaiG3089.’

28And though they foundεὑρόντεςheurontesG2147noμηδεμίανmēdemianG3367groundsαἰτίανaitianG156for putting Him todeathθανάτουthanatouG2288, theyaskedᾐτήσαντοētēsantoG154PilateΠιλᾶτονPilatonG4091that He be executedἀναιρεθῆναιanairethēnaiG337.

34As for the fact that HeraisedἀνέστησενanestēsenG450Him from the deadνεκρῶνnekrōnG3498,neverG3371againG3371to returnὑποστρέφεινhupostrepheinG5290to decayδιαφθοράν,diaphthoranG1312,He has spokenG3004inG3779thisG3779wayG3779: ‘I will giveδώσωdōsōG1325you the holyὅσιαhosiaG3741andfaithfulπιστά.pistaG4103merciesof DavidG1160.’
