Isaiah 27
American Standard Version
1In that dayH3117 Jehovah with his hardH7186 and greatH1419 and strongH2389 swordH2719 will punishH6485 leviathanH3882 the swift serpent, and leviathanH3882 the crooked serpent; and he will slayH2026 the monsterH8577 that is in the seaH3220.
2In that dayH3117: A vineyardH3754 of wine, singH6030 ye unto it. 3I Jehovah am its keeper; I will waterH8248 it every momentH7281: lestH6435 any hurt it, I will keepH5341 it nightH3915 and dayH3117. 4WrathH2534 is not in me: would that the briers and thorns were against me in battleH4421! I would march upon them, I would burn them togetherH3162. 5Or else let him takeH2388 holdH2388 of my strength, that he may makeH6213 peaceH7965 with me; yea, let him makeH6213 peaceH7965 with me. 6In days to comeH935 shall JacobH3290 take rootH8327; IsraelH3478 shall blossom and budH6524; and they shall fillH4390 the faceH6440 of the worldH8398 with fruitH8570.
7Hath he smitten them as he smote those that smote them? or are they slainH2026 according to the slaughterH4347 of them that were slainH2026 by them? 8In measure, when thou sendest them awayH7971, thou dost contendH7378 with them; he hath removed them with his rough blast in the dayH3117 of the eastH6921 windH7307. 9ThereforeH3651 by this shall the iniquityH5771 of JacobH3290 be forgiven, and this is all the fruitH6529 of taking awayH5493 his sinH2403: that he maketh all the stonesH68 of the altarH4196 as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, soH3651 that the Asherim and the sun-images shall riseH6965 no more. 10For the fortifiedH1219 cityH5892 is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wildernessH4057: there shall the calfH5695 feedH7462, and there shall he lieH7257 down, and consume the branchesH5585 thereof. 11When the boughs thereof are witheredH3001, they shall be brokenH7665 off; the womenH802 shall comeH935, and set them on fire; for it is a peopleH5971 of no understandingH998: thereforeH3651 he that madeH6213 them will not have compassionH7355 upon them, and he that formedH3335 them will show them no favorH2603.
12And it shall come to pass in that dayH3117, that Jehovah will beatH2251 off his fruit from the flood of the RiverH5104 unto the brook of EgyptH4714; and ye shall beH1961 gatheredH3950 oneH259 by oneH259, O ye children of IsraelH3478.
13And it shall comeH935 to pass in that dayH3117, that a greatH1419 trumpetH7782 shall beH1961 blownH8628; and they shall comeH935 that wereH1961 ready to perishH6 in the landH776 of AssyriaH804, and they that wereH1961 outcastsH5080 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714; and they shall worship Jehovah in the holyH6944 mountainH2022 at JerusalemH3389.
