Isaiah 15
American Standard Version
1The burdenH4853 of MoabH4124.
For in a nightH3915 ArH6144 of MoabH4124 is laid waste, and brought to nought; for in a nightH3915 KirH7024 of MoabH4124 is laid waste, and brought to nought. 2They are goneH5927 up to Bayith, and to DibonH1769, to the highH1116 placesH1116, to weepH1065: MoabH4124 waileth over NeboH5015, and over MedebaH4311; on all their headsH7218 is baldnessH7144, every beardH2206 is cut off. 3In their streetsH2351 they girdH2296 themselves with sackclothH8242; on their housetops, and in their broad places, every one waileth, weepingH1065 abundantly. 4And HeshbonH2809 crieth out, and ElealehH500; their voiceH6963 is heardH8085 even unto JahazH3096: thereforeH3651 the armedH2502 men of MoabH4124 cryH2199 aloud; his soulH5315 trembleth within him. 5My heartH3820 crieth out for MoabH4124; her nobles flee unto ZoarH6820, to Eglath-shelishi-yah: for by the ascentH4608 of LuhithH3872 with weepingH1065 they goH5927 up; for in the wayH1870 of HoronaimH2773 they raise up a cryH2199 of destructionH7667. 6For the watersH4325 of NimrimH5249 shall beH1961 desolate; for the grassH2682 isH1961 witheredH3001 awayH3615, the tender grassH2682 faileth, there isH1961 no green thing. 7ThereforeH3651 the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carryH5375 awayH5375 over the brook of the willows. 8For the cryH2201 is gone roundH5362 about the bordersH1366 of MoabH4124; the wailingH3215 thereof unto Eglaim, and the wailingH3215 thereof unto Beer-elim. 9For the watersH4325 of DimonH1775 are fullH4390 of bloodH1818; for I will bring yet more upon DimonH1775, a lionH738 upon them of MoabH4124 that escapeH6413, and upon the remnantH7611 of the landH127.
