Ezekiel 4
Revised Version 1895
1Thou also, sonH1121 of manH120, takeH3947 thee a tile, and layH5414 it beforeH6440 thee, and pourtray uponH5921 it a cityH5892, evenH853 JerusalemH3389: 2and layH5414 siegeH4692 againstH5921 it, and buildH1129 forts againstH5921 it, and castH8210 upH5921 a mount againstH5921 it; setH7760 campsH4264 also againstH5921 it, and plantH7760 battering ramsH3733 againstH5921 it roundH5439 aboutH5439. 3And takeH3947 thou unto thee an ironH1270 panH4227, and setH5414 it for a wallH7023 of ironH1270 betweenH996 thee and the cityH5892: and setH5414 thy faceH6440 towardH413 it, and it shall be besiegedH4692, and thou shalt layH5414 siegeH4692 againstH5921 it. This shall be a signH226 to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478. 4Moreover lieH7901 thou uponH5921 thy leftH8042 sideH6654, and layH7901 the iniquityH5771 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 uponH5921 it: accordingH5921 to the numberH4557 of the daysH3117 that thou shalt lieH7901 uponH5921 it, thou shalt bearH5375 their iniquityH5771. 5For I have appointedH5414 the yearsH8141 of their iniquityH5771 to be unto thee a numberH4557 of daysH3117, evenH853 threeH7969 hundredH3967 and ninetyH8673 daysH3117: soH5414 shalt thou bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478. 6And againH8145, when thou hast accomplishedH3615 theseH428, thou shalt lieH7901 on thy right sideH6654, and shalt bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of the houseH1004 of JudahH3063: fortyH705 daysH3117, eachH3117 dayH3117 for a yearH8141, have I appointedH5414 it unto thee. 7And thou shalt setH3559 thy faceH6440 towardH413 the siegeH4692 of JerusalemH3389, with thine armH2220 uncoveredH2834; and thou shalt prophesyH5012 againstH5921 it. 8And, beholdH2009, I layH5414 bands uponH5921 thee, and thou shalt notH3808 turnH2015 thee from one sideH6654 to anotherH3808, tillH5704 thou hast accomplishedH3615 the daysH3117 of thy siegeH4692. 9TakeH3947 thou also unto thee wheatH2406, and barleyH8184, and beansH6321, and lentilsH5742, and milletH1764, and speltH3698, and putH5414 them in one vesselH3627, and makeH5414 thee breadH3899 thereof; accordingH5921 to the numberH4557 of the daysH3117 that thou shalt lieH7901 uponH5921 thy sideH6654, evenH853 threeH7969 hundredH3967 and ninetyH8673 daysH3117, shalt thou eatH398 thereof. 10And thy meat whichH834 thou shalt eatH398 shall be by weightH4946, twentyH6242 shekelsH8255 a dayH3117: from time to time shalt thou eatH398 it. 11And thou shalt drinkH8354 waterH4325 by measureH4884, the sixthH8345 partH8345 of an hinH1969: from time to time shalt thou drinkH8354. 12And thou shalt eatH398 it as barleyH8184 cakesH5692, and thou shalt bake it in their sightH5869 with dungH1561 that cometh out of manH120. 13And the LORDH3068 saidH559, EvenH853 thusH3602 shall the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 eatH398 their breadH3899 uncleanH2931, among the nationsH1471 whither I will driveH5080 them. 14Then saidH559 I, AhH162 LordH136 GODH136! beholdH2009, my soulH5315 hath notH3808 been polluted: for from my youthH5271 upH5704 evenH5704 tillH5704 nowH6258 have I notH3808 eatenH398 of that whichH5038 dieth of itself, or is tornH2966 of beastsH2966; neitherH3808 cameH935 there abominable fleshH1320 intoH935 my mouthH6310; 15Then he saidH559 unto meH413, SeeH7200, I have givenH5414 thee cow’sH1241 dungH6832 for man’sH120 dungH6832, and thou shalt prepareH6213 thy breadH3899 thereonH5921. 16Moreover he saidH559 unto meH413, SonH1121 of manH120, beholdH2005, I will breakH7665 the staffH4294 of breadH3899 in JerusalemH3389: and they shall eatH398 breadH3899 by weightH4948, and with carefulness; and they shall drinkH8354 waterH4325 by measureH4884, and with astonishment: 17that they may wantH2637 breadH3899 and waterH4325, and be astonied one with anotherH251, and pine awayH4743 in their iniquityH5771.
