Ezekiel 20:7-24

and I saidH559 unto them, CastH7993 ye awayH7993 every manH376 the abominationsH8251 of his eyesH5869, and defileH2930 not yourselves with the idolsH1544 of EgyptH4714: I [am] Jehovah your 1GodH430.

But they rebelledH4784 against me, and wouldH14 not hearken unto me: none of them castH7993 awayH7993 the abominationsH8251 of his eyesH5869, neither did they forsakeH5800 the idolsH1544 of EgyptH4714. Then I thought to pourH8210 out my fury upon them, so as to accomplish mine angerH639 against them in the midstH8432 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714.

But I wrought for my name's sakeH4616, that it should not be profanedH2490 in the sight of the nationsH1471 among whom they were, in whose sight I had madeH6213 myself knownH3045 unto them in bringingH3318 them forthH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714.

And I caused them to goH3318 forthH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and broughtH935 them into the wildernessH4057.

And I gaveH5414 them my statutesH2708, and madeH6213 knownH3045 unto them mine ordinancesH4941, which if a manH120 do, he shall live by them.

And I alsoH1571 gaveH5414 them my sabbathsH7676, to beH1961 a signH226 between me and them, that they might knowH3045 that I [am] Jehovah that hallow them.

But the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 rebelledH4784 against me in the wildernessH4057: they walkedH1980 not in my statutesH2708, and they rejectedH3988 mine ordinancesH4941, which if a manH120 do, he shall live by them; and my sabbathsH7676 they greatly profanedH2490: and I saidH559 I would pourH8210 out my fury upon them in the wildernessH4057, to consume them.

But I wrought for my name's sakeH4616, that it should not be profanedH2490 in the sight of the nationsH1471, in whose sight I had broughtH3318 them out.

And I alsoH1571 liftedH5375 up my handH3027 unto them in the wildernessH4057, that I would not bringH935 them into the landH776 that I had givenH5414 [them], flowingH2100 with milkH2461 and honeyH1706, which is the ornament of all landsH776;

because they rejectedH3988 mine ordinancesH4941 and walkedH1980 not in my statutesH2708, and profanedH2490 my sabbathsH7676: for their heartH3820 wentH1980 after their idolsH1544.

But mine eyeH5869 spared them so as not to destroyH7843 them, neither did I makeH6213 a full end of them in the wildernessH4057.

And I saidH559 unto their children in the wildernessH4057, Walk not in the statutesH2706 of your fathersH1, neither keepH8104 their ordinancesH4941, nor defileH2930 yourselvesH2930 with their idolsH1544.

I [am] Jehovah your 2GodH430: walk in my statutesH2708, and keepH8104 mine ordinancesH4941, and do them;

and hallow my sabbathsH7676; and they shall beH1961 a signH226 between me and you, that ye may knowH3045 that I [am] Jehovah your 3GodH430.

And the children rebelledH4784 against me: they walkedH1980 not in my statutesH2708, neither keptH8104 mine ordinancesH4941 to do them, which if a manH120 do, he shall live by them; they profanedH2490 my sabbathsH7676: and I saidH559 I would pourH8210 out my fury upon them, to accomplish mine angerH639 against them in the wildernessH4057.

But I withdrew my handH3027, and wrought for my name's sakeH4616, that it should not be profanedH2490 in the sight of the nationsH1471, in whose sight I had broughtH3318 them out.

I liftedH5375 up my handH3027 alsoH1571 unto them in the wildernessH4057, that I would scatterH2219 them among the nationsH1471, and disperseH2219 them through the countries;

because they performed not mine ordinancesH4941, and rejectedH3988 my statutesH2708, and profanedH2490 my sabbathsH7676, and their eyesH5869 wereH1961 after their fathers' idolsH1544.
