Ezekiel 15
American Standard Version
1And the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto me, sayingH559, 2SonH1121 of manH120, what is the vine-tree more than any treeH6086, the vine-branch which is among the treesH6086 of the forestH3293? 3Shall woodH6086 be takenH3947 thereof to makeH6213 any workH4399? or will men takeH3947 a pinH3489 of it to hangH8518 any vesselH3627 thereon? 4Behold, it is cast into the fireH784 for fuelH402; the fireH784 hath devouredH398 both the endsH7098 of it, and the midstH8432 of it is burnedH2787: is it profitable for any workH4399? 5Behold, when it wasH1961 whole, it wasH1961 meet for no workH4399: how much less, when the fireH784 hath devouredH398 it, and it is burnedH2787, shall it yetH5750 beH1961 meet for any workH4399! 6ThereforeH3651 thusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: As the vine-tree among the treesH6086 of the forestH3293, which I have givenH5414 to the fireH784 for fuelH402, soH3651 will I giveH5414 the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389. 7And I will setH7760 my faceH6440 against them; they shall goH3318 forthH3318 from the fireH784, but the fireH784 shall devourH398 them; and ye shall knowH3045 that I am Jehovah, when I setH7760 my faceH6440 against them. 8And I will makeH5414 the landH776 desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the LordH136 Jehovah.
