Ezekiel 15

Jerusalem like a Useless Vine

Then the wordH1697 of the LordH3068 cameH1961 to me, sayingH559,

“SonH1121 of manH120, 1howH4100 is the woodH6086 of the 2vineH1612 better thanH4480 anyH3605 woodH6086 of a branchH2156 whichH834 is among the treesH6086 of the forestH3293?

Can woodH6086 be takenH3947 from it to makeH6213 3anythingH4399, orH518 can even a pegH3489 be takenH3947 from it on which to hangH8518 anyH3605 utensilH3627?

IfH2009 it has been putH5414 into the 4fireH784 for fuelH402, and the fireH784 has consumedH398 bothH8147 of its endsH7098 and its middleH8432 partH8432 has beenH2787 charredH2787, is it then goodH6743 for 5anythingH4399?

BeholdH2009, while it is intactH8549, it is not madeH6213 into 6anythingH4399. HowH637 muchH637 lessH637, whenH3588 the fireH784 has consumedH398 it and it isH2787 charredH2787, can it stillH5750 be madeH6213 into 7anythingH4399!

ThereforeH3651, thisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH136 8GodH3068 saysH559: ‘As the woodH6086 of the vineH1612 among the treesH6086 of the forestH3293, whichH834 I have givenH5414 to the fireH784 for fuelH402, soH3651 have I givenH5414 upH5414 the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389;

and I 9setH5414 My faceH6440 against them. Though they have 10comeH3318 outH3318 of the fireH784, yet the fireH784 will consumeH398 them. Then you will knowH3045 that I am the LordH3068, whenH3588 I setH7760 My faceH6440 against them.

So I will makeH5414 the landH776 desolateH8077, becauseH3282 they have 11actedH4603 unfaithfullyH4603H4604,’” declaresH5002 the LordH136 GodH3068.
