Acts 27:27-36

And whenG5613 the fourteenth nightG3571 was comeG1096, we being driven about in Adria, towards the middleG3319 of the nightG3571 the sailorsG3492 supposed that some landG5561 neared them,

and having sounded foundG2147 twentyG1501 fathomsG3712, and having gone a littleG1024 farther and having againG3825 sounded they foundG2147 fifteenG1178 fathomsG3712;

and fearingG5399 lestG3361 we should be castG4496 on rocky placesG5117, casting fourG5064 anchorsG45 out of the sternG4403, they wished that dayG2250 were comeG1096.

But the sailorsG3492 wishing to fleeG5343 out of the shipG4143, and having let down the boatG4143 into the seaG2281 under pretextG4392 of being about to carry out anchorsG45 from the prow,

PaulG3972 saidG3004 to the centurionG1543 and the soldiersG4757, Unless these abideG3306 in the shipG4143 ye cannot be savedG4982.

Then the soldiersG4757 cutG609 away the ropes of the boat and let her fall.

And while it was drawing on to daylight, PaulG3972 exhortedG3870 them all to partake of foodG5160, sayingG3004, Ye have passed the fourteenth dayG2250 watching in expectation without taking foodG5160.

Wherefore I exhortG3870 you to partake of foodG5160, for this has to do with your safety; for not a hairG2359 from the headG2776 of any oneG3762 of you shall perishG622.

And, having saidG3004 these thingsG3778 and takenG2983 a loafG740, he gaveG2168 thanksG2168 to 1GodG2316 before all, and having brokenG2806 it beganG757 to eatG2068.

And all taking courage, themselves alsoG2532 took foodG5160.
