1 Corinthians 15
American Standard Version
1NowG1161 I makeG1107 known unto you brethren, the gospelG2098 which I preached unto you, which alsoG2532 ye receivedG3880, wherein alsoG2532 ye standG2476, 2by which alsoG2532 ye are savedG4982, if ye holdG2722 fastG2722 the wordG3056 which I preached unto you, except ye believedG4100 in vainG1500. 3For I deliveredG3860 unto you firstG4413 of all that which alsoG2532 I receivedG3880: that ChristG5547 diedG599 for our sinsG266 accordingG2596 to the scripturesG1124; 4and that he was buriedG2290; and that he hath been raisedG1453 on the thirdG5154 dayG2250 accordingG2596 to the scripturesG1124; 5and that he appeared to CephasG2786; then to the twelveG1427; 6thenG1161 he appeared to above fiveG4001 hundredG4001 brethren at onceG2178, of whom the greaterG4183 part remainG3306 until nowG1161, but some are fallen asleepG2837; 7thenG1899 he appeared to JamesG2385; thenG1899 to all the apostlesG652; 8and lastG2078 of all, as to the child untimely born, he appeared to me alsoG1161. 9For I amG1510 the leastG1646 of the apostlesG652, that amG1510 not meet to beG1510 calledG2564 an apostleG652, because I persecutedG1377 the churchG1577 of GodG2316. 10But by the graceG5485 of GodG2316 I amG1510 what I amG1510: and his graceG5485 which wasG1510 bestowed upon me wasG1510 not found vainG2756; but I laboredG2872 more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the graceG5485 of GodG2316 which wasG1510 with me. 11Whether then it be I or they, so we preachG2784, and so ye believedG4100.
12NowG1161 if ChristG5547 isG1510 preachedG2784 that he hath beenG1510 raisedG1453 from the deadG3498, howG4459 sayG3004 some among you that there isG1510 no resurrectionG386 of the deadG3498? 13But if there isG1510 no resurrectionG386 of the deadG3498, neither hath ChristG5547 beenG1510 raisedG1453: 14and if ChristG5547 hath not been raisedG1453, then is our preachingG2782 vainG2756, your faithG4102 alsoG2532 is vainG2756. 15Yea, and we are foundG2147 false witnessesG3140 of GodG2316; because we witnessedG3140 of GodG2316 that he raisedG1453 up ChristG5547: whom he raisedG1453 not up, if so be that the deadG3498 are not raisedG1453. 16For if the deadG3498 are not raisedG1453, neither hath ChristG5547 been raisedG1453: 17and if ChristG5547 hath not beenG1510 raisedG1453, your faithG4102 isG1510 vain; ye areG1510 yet in your sinsG266. 18Then they alsoG2532 that are fallen asleepG2837 in ChristG5547 have perishedG622. 19If we have onlyG3440 hopedG1679 in ChristG5547 in this lifeG2222, we areG1510 of all menG444 most pitiable.
20But nowG1161 hath ChristG5547 been raisedG1453 from the deadG3498, the firstfruits of them that are asleepG2837. 21For since by manG444 came deathG2288, by manG444 came alsoG2532 the resurrectionG386 of the deadG3498. 22For as in AdamG76 all dieG599, so alsoG2532 in ChristG5547 shall all be made aliveG2227. 23But each in his ownG2398 order: ChristG5547 the firstfruits; thenG1161 they that are Christ’s, at his coming. 24Then cometh the endG5056, whenG3752 he shall deliverG3860 up the kingdomG932 to GodG2316, evenG2532 the FatherG3962; whenG3752 he shall have abolishedG2673 all ruleG746 and all authorityG1849 and powerG1411. 25For he must reignG936, till he hath putG5087 all his enemiesG2190 under his feetG4228. 26The lastG2078 enemyG2190 that shall be abolishedG2673 is deathG2288. 27For, He putG5293 all thingsG3956 in subjectionG5293 under his feetG4228. But whenG3752 he saith, All thingsG3956 are putG5293 in subjectionG5293, it is evidentG1212 that he is excepted who did subjectG5293 all thingsG3956 unto him. 28And whenG3752 all thingsG3956 have beenG1510 subjectedG5293 unto him, then shall the SonG5207 alsoG2532 himself beG1510 subjectedG5293 to him that did subjectG5293 all thingsG3956 unto him, that GodG2316 may beG1510 all in all.
29Else what shall they do that are baptizedG907 for the deadG3498? If the deadG3498 are not raisedG1453 at all, whyG5101 then are they baptizedG907 for them? 30whyG5101 do we alsoG2532 stand in jeopardy every hourG5610? 31I protest by that glorying in you, brethren, which I have in ChristG5547 JesusG2424 our LordG2962, I dieG599 daily. 32If after the manner of menG444 I fought with beasts at EphesusG2181, what doth it profitG3786 me? If the deadG3498 are not raisedG1453, let us eatG2068 and drinkG4095, for to-morrow we dieG599. 33Be not deceivedG4105: EvilG2556 companionships corrupt goodG5543 morals. 34Awake to soberness righteouslyG1346, and sinG264 not; for some have no knowledge of GodG2316: I speakG2980 this to move you to shameG1791.
35But some oneG5100 will sayG3004, HowG4459 are the deadG3498 raisedG1453? and with what manner of bodyG4983 do they comeG2064? 36Thou foolishG878 oneG3739, that which thou thyself sowest is not quickened except it dieG599: 37and that which thou sowest, thou sowest not the bodyG4983 that shall be, but a bare grainG4621, it may chance of wheatG4621, or of some otherG3062 kind; 38but GodG2316 giveth it a bodyG4983 evenG2532 as it pleased him, and to each seedG4690 a bodyG4983 of its ownG2398. 39All fleshG4561 is not the sameG846 fleshG4561: but there is one fleshG4561 of menG444, and another fleshG4561 of beasts, and another fleshG4561 of birds, and another of fishes. 40There are alsoG2532 celestial bodiesG4983, and bodiesG4983 terrestrial: but the gloryG1391 of the celestial is oneG3588, and the gloryG1391 of the terrestrial is another. 41There is oneG243 gloryG1391 of the sunG2246, and another gloryG1391 of the moonG4582, and another gloryG1391 of the starsG792; for oneG243 starG792 differeth from another starG792 in gloryG1391. 42So alsoG2532 is the resurrectionG386 of the deadG3498. It is sownG4687 in corruption; it is raisedG1453 in incorruption: 43it is sownG4687 in dishonorG819; it is raisedG1453 in gloryG1391: it is sownG4687 in weaknessG769; it is raisedG1453 in powerG1411: 44it isG1510 sownG4687 a naturalG5591 bodyG4983; it isG1510 raisedG1453 a spiritualG4152 bodyG4983. If there isG1510 a naturalG5591 bodyG4983, there isG1510 alsoG2532 a spiritualG4152 bodyG4983. 45So alsoG2532 it is writtenG1125, The firstG4413 manG444 AdamG76 becameG1096 a livingG2198 soulG5590. The lastG2078 AdamG76 becameG1096 a life-giving spiritG4151. 46Howbeit that is not firstG4413 which is spiritualG4152, but that which is naturalG5591; thenG1899 that which is spiritualG4152. 47The firstG4413 manG444 is of the earthG1093, earthy: the secondG1208 manG444 is of heavenG3772. 48As is the earthy, suchG5108 are they alsoG2532 that are earthy: and as is the heavenlyG2032, suchG5108 are they alsoG2532 that are heavenlyG2032. 49And as we have borne the imageG1504 of the earthy, we shall alsoG2532 bear the imageG1504 of the heavenlyG2032.
50NowG1161 this I sayG5346, brethren, that fleshG4561 and bloodG129 cannot inheritG2816 the kingdomG932 of GodG2316; neither doth corruption inheritG2816 incorruption. 51BeholdG2400, I tellG3004 you a mysteryG3466: We all shall not sleepG2837, but we shall all be changedG236, 52in a moment, in the twinkling of an eyeG3788, at the lastG2078 trump: for the trumpetG4536 shall soundG4537, and the deadG3498 shall be raisedG1453 incorruptible, and we shall be changedG236. 53For this corruptible must putG1746 on incorruption, and this mortalG2349 must putG1746 on immortalityG110. 54But whenG3752 this corruptible shall have putG1746 on incorruption, and this mortalG2349 shall have putG1746 on immortalityG110, then shall comeG1096 to passG1096 the sayingG3056 that is writtenG1125, DeathG2288 is swallowedG2666 up in victoryG3534. 55O deathG2288, whereG4226 is thy victoryG3534? O deathG2288, whereG4226 is thy stingG2759? 56The stingG2759 of deathG2288 is sinG266; and the powerG1411 of sinG266 is the lawG3551: 57but thanksG5485 be to GodG2316, who giveth us the victoryG3534 through our LordG2962 JesusG2424 ChristG5547. 58Wherefore, my belovedG27 brethren, beG1510 ye stedfast, unmoveable, alwaysG3842 aboundingG4052 in the workG2041 of the LordG2962, forasmuch as ye know that your laborG2873 isG1510 not vainG2756 in the LordG2962.
