1 Corinthians 2
1And I, brethren, whenG2064 I cameG2064 unto you, cameG2064 not with excellency of speechG3056 or of wisdomG4678, proclaimingG2605 to you the testimonyG3142 of GodG2316. 2For I determined not to know anythingG5100 among you, save JesusG2424 ChristG5547, and him crucifiedG4717. 3And I was with you in weaknessG769, and in fearG5401, and in muchG4183 trembling. 4And my speechG3056 and my preachingG2782 were not in persuasive wordsG3056 of wisdomG4678, but in demonstration of the SpiritG4151 and of powerG1411: 5that your faithG4102 should not stand in the wisdomG4678 of menG444, but in the powerG1411 of GodG2316.
6We speakG2980 wisdomG4678, howeverG1161, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdomG4678 not of this world, nor of the rulersG758 of this world, who are coming to nought: 7but we speakG2980 God’s wisdomG4678 in a mysteryG3466, even the wisdomG4678 that hath been hidden, which GodG2316 foreordained before the worlds unto our gloryG1391: 8which noneG3762 of the rulersG758 of this world hath knownG1097: for had they knownG1097 it, they would not have crucifiedG4717 the LordG2962 of gloryG1391: 9but as it is writtenG1125,
10But unto us GodG2316 revealedG601 them through the SpiritG4151: for the SpiritG4151 searcheth all thingsG3956, yea, the deepG899 thingsG3956 of GodG2316. 11For who among menG444 knoweth the things of a manG444, save the spiritG4151 of the manG444, which is in him? evenG2532 so the things of GodG2316 noneG3762 knoweth, save the SpiritG4151 of GodG2316. 12But we receivedG2983, not the spiritG4151 of the worldG2889, but the spiritG4151 which is from GodG2316; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of GodG2316. 13Which thingsG3739 alsoG2532 we speakG2980, not in wordsG3056 which man’s wisdomG4678 teacheth, but which the SpiritG4151 teacheth; combining spiritualG4152 thingsG3739 with spiritualG4152 wordsG3056. 14NowG1161 the naturalG5591 manG444 receiveth not the things of the SpiritG4151 of GodG2316: for they areG1510 foolishnessG3472 unto him; and he cannot knowG1097 them, because they areG1510 spiritually judged. 15But he that is spiritualG4152 judgeth all thingsG3956, and he himself is judged of no man. 16For who hath knownG1097 the mindG3563 of the LordG2962, that he should instruct him? But we have the mindG3563 of ChristG5547.
