Ezekiel 44
American Standard Version
1Then he broughtH7725 me backH7725 by the wayH1870 of the outerH2435 gateH8179 of the sanctuaryH4720, which looketh toward the eastH6921; and it was shutH5462. 2And Jehovah saidH559 unto me, This gateH8179 shall beH1961 shutH5462; it shall not beH1961 openedH6605, neither shall any manH376 enter in by it; for Jehovah, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, hath entered in by it; therefore it shall beH1961 shutH5462. 3As for the princeH5387, he shall sitH3427 therein as princeH5387 to eatH398 breadH3899 before Jehovah; he shall enter by the wayH1870 of the porchH197 of the gateH8179, and shall goH3318 out by the wayH1870 of the same.
4Then he broughtH935 me by the wayH1870 of the northH6828 gateH8179 before the houseH1004; and I lookedH7200, and, behold, the gloryH3519 of Jehovah filledH4390 the houseH1004 of Jehovah: and I fellH5307 upon my faceH6440. 5And Jehovah saidH559 unto me, SonH1121 of manH120, mark well, and behold with thine eyesH5869, and hearH8085 with thine earsH241 all that I sayH559 unto thee concerningH413 all the ordinances of the houseH1004 of Jehovah, and all the lawsH8451 thereof; and mark well the entranceH3996 of the houseH1004, with every egress of the sanctuaryH4720. 6And thou shalt sayH559 to the rebelliousH4805, even to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: O ye houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, let it suffice you of all your abominationsH8441, 7in that ye have broughtH935 in foreigners, uncircumcisedH6189 in heartH3820 and uncircumcisedH6189 in fleshH1320, to beH1961 in my sanctuaryH4720, to profaneH2490 it, even my houseH1004, when ye offer my breadH3899, the fatH2459 and the bloodH1818, and they have brokenH6565 my covenantH1285, to add unto all your abominationsH8441. 8And ye have not keptH8104 the chargeH4931 of my holyH6944 thingsH6944; but ye have setH7760 keepersH8104 of my chargeH4931 in my sanctuaryH4720 for yourselves.
9ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah, No foreigner, uncircumcisedH6189 in heartH3820 and uncircumcisedH6189 in fleshH1320, shall enter into my sanctuaryH4720, of any foreigners that are among the children of IsraelH3478. 10But the LevitesH3881 that wentH8582 farH7368 from me, when IsraelH3478 wentH8582 astrayH8582, that wentH8582 astrayH8582 from me after their idolsH1544, they shall bearH5375 their iniquityH5771. 11Yet they shall beH1961 ministers in my sanctuaryH4720, having oversightH6486 at the gatesH8179 of the houseH1004, and ministering in the houseH1004: they shall slay the burnt-offering and the sacrificeH2077 for the peopleH5971, and they shall standH5975 before them to minister unto them. 12Because they ministered unto them before their idolsH1544, and becameH1961 a stumblingblock of iniquityH5771 unto the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478; thereforeH3651 have I liftedH5375 up my handH3027 against them, saith the LordH136 Jehovah, and they shall bearH5375 their iniquityH5771. 13And they shall not come near unto me, to execute the office of priestH3547 unto me, nor to come near to any of my holyH6944 thingsH6944, unto the thingsH6944 that are most holyH6944; but they shall bearH5375 their shame, and their abominationsH8441 which they have committed. 14Yet will I makeH5414 them keepersH8104 of the chargeH4931 of the houseH1004, for all the serviceH5656 thereof, and for all that shall be done therein.
15But the priestsH3548 the LevitesH3881, the sonsH1121 of ZadokH6659, that keptH8104 the chargeH4931 of my sanctuaryH4720 whenH834 the children of IsraelH3478 wentH8582 astrayH8582 from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me; and they shall standH5975 before me to offer unto me the fatH2459 and the bloodH1818, saith the LordH136 Jehovah: 16they shall enter into my sanctuaryH4720, and they shall comeH935 near to my tableH7979, to minister unto me, and they shall keepH8104 my chargeH4931. 17And it shall beH1961 that, when they enter in at the gatesH8179 of the innerH6442 courtH2691, they shall beH1961 clothedH3847 with linenH6593 garmentsH899; and no woolH6785 shall comeH935 upon them, while they minister in the gatesH8179 of the innerH6442 courtH2691, and within. 18They shall have linenH6593 tires upon their headsH7218, and shall have linenH6593 breeches upon their loinsH4975; they shall not girdH2296 themselves with anything that causeth sweat. 19And whenH834 they goH3318 forthH3318 into the outerH2435 courtH2691, even into the outerH2435 courtH2691 to the peopleH5971, they shall putH3847 off their garmentsH899 wherein they minister, and lay them in the holyH6944 chambers; and they shall putH3847 on otherH312 garmentsH899, that they sanctifyH6942 not the peopleH5971 with their garmentsH899. 20Neither shall they shaveH1548 their headsH7218, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only cut off the hair of their headsH7218. 21Neither shall any of the priestsH3548 drinkH8354 wineH3196, when they enter into the innerH6442 courtH2691. 22Neither shall they takeH3947 for their wives a widowH490, nor her that is put awayH3947; but they shall takeH3947 virginsH1330 of the seedH2233 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, or a widowH490 that is the widowH490 of a priestH3548. 23And they shall teachH3384 my peopleH5971 the difference between the holyH6944 and the common, and cause them to discern between the uncleanH2931 and the cleanH2889. 24And in a controversy they shall standH5975 to judgeH8199; according to mine ordinancesH4941 shall they judgeH8199 it: and they shall keepH8104 my lawsH8451 and my statutesH2708 in all my appointedH4150 feastsH4150; and they shall hallow my sabbathsH7676. 25And they shall goH935 in to no deadH4191 personH376 to defileH2930 themselves; but for fatherH1, or for motherH517, or for sonH1121, or for daughterH1323, for brotherH251, or for sisterH269 that hath had no husbandH376, they may defileH2930 themselves. 26And after he is cleansed, they shall reckon unto him sevenH7651 daysH3117. 27And in the dayH3117 that he goeth into the sanctuaryH6944, into the innerH6442 courtH2691, to minister in the sanctuaryH6944, he shall offer his sin-offering, saith the LordH136 Jehovah.
28And they shall have an inheritanceH5159: I am their inheritanceH5159; and ye shall giveH5414 them no possessionH272 in IsraelH3478; I am their possessionH272. 29They shall eatH398 the meal-offering, and the sin-offering, and the trespass-offering; and every devoted thing in IsraelH3478 shall beH1961 theirs. 30And the firstH7225 of all the first-fruits of every thing, and every oblation of everythingH3605, of all your oblations, shall beH1961 for the priestH3548: ye shall also giveH5414 unto the priestsH3548 the firstH7225 of your doughH6182, to cause a blessingH1293 to restH5117 on thy houseH1004. 31The priestsH3548 shall not eatH398 of anything that dieth of itself, or is tornH2966, whether it be birdH5775 or beast.
