Ezekiel 16:15-34

But thou didst confide in thy beautyH3308, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy whoredoms on every one that passedH5674 by: his it was.

And of thy garmentsH899 thou didst takeH3947, and madest for thyself highH1116 placesH1116 decked with divers colours, and didst playH2181 the harlot thereupon: [the like] hath not comeH935 to pass, and shall beH1961 no more.

And thou didst takeH3947 thy fair jewels of my goldH2091 and of my silverH3701, which I had givenH5414 thee, and madest to thyself imagesH6754 of malesH2145, and didst commit fornication with them.

And thou tookest thine embroideredH7553 garmentsH899, and coveredst them; and thou didst setH5414 mine oilH8081 and mine incenseH7004 before them.

And my breadH3899 which I had givenH5414 thee, the fineH5560 flourH5560 and the oilH8081 and the honeyH1706 wherewith I fed thee, thou didst even setH5414 it before them for a sweet savour: thus it wasH1961, saith the LordH136 Jehovah.

And thou didst takeH3947 thy sonsH1121 and thy daughtersH1323, whom thou hadst borneH3205 unto me, and these didst thou sacrificeH2076 unto them, to be devouredH398. Were thy whoredoms a smallH4592 matter,

that thou didst slay my children and giveH5414 them up in passingH5674 them over to them?

And in all thine abominationsH8441 and thy whoredoms thou hast not rememberedH2142 the daysH3117 of thy youthH5271, when thou wast nakedH5903 and bare, when thou wast weltering in thy bloodH1818.

And it came to pass after all thy wickednessH7451 (woeH188, woeH188 unto thee! saith the LordH136 Jehovah),

that thou didst also buildH1129 unto thee a placeH7413 of debauchery, and didst makeH6213 thee a highH7413 placeH7413 in every street:

thou didst buildH1129 thy highH7413 placeH7413 at every headH7218 of the wayH1870, and madest thy beautyH3308 to be abhorredH8581, and thou didst open thy feetH7272 to every one that passedH5674 by, and multiplyH7235 thy whoredom.

And thou didst commit fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of fleshH1320; and didst multiplyH7235 thy whoredom to provokeH3707 me to angerH3707.

And behold, I stretchedH5186 out my handH3027 over thee, and diminishedH1639 thine appointed portionH2706; and I gaveH5414 thee over unto the will of them that hateH8130 thee, the daughtersH1323 of the PhilistinesH6430, who were confounded at thy lewd wayH1870.

And thou didst commit fornication with the Assyrians, because thou wast insatiable; yea, thou didst commit fornication with them, and yet couldest not be satisfiedH7646.

And thou didst multiplyH7235 thy whoredom with the landH776 of merchants, ChaldeaH3778, and yet thou wast not satisfiedH7646 herewith.

HowH4100 weak is thy heartH3826, saith the LordH136 Jehovah, seeing thou doest all these [thingsH428], the workH4639 of a whorish womanH802, under no restraint;

in that thou buildest thy place of debauchery at the headH7218 of every wayH1870, and makest thy highH7413 place in every street! And thou hast not beenH1961 as a harlot, in that thou scornest reward,

O adulterousH5003 wifeH802, that taketh strangersH2114 instead of her husbandH376.

They giveH5414 rewards to all harlots; but thou gavest thy rewards to all thy loversH157, and rewardedst them, that they might comeH935 unto thee on every side for thy whoredoms.

And in thee isH1961 the contrary from [other] womenH802, in thy whoredoms, in that none followeth thee to commit fornication; and whereas thou givest a reward, and no reward isH1961 givenH5414 unto thee, so art thou contrary.
