Ezekiel 16:1-16
And the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto me, sayingH559,
SonH1121 of manH120, cause JerusalemH3389 to knowH3045 her abominationsH8441,
and sayH559, ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah unto JerusalemH3389: Thy birthH4138 and thy nativity is of the landH776 of the CanaaniteH3669: thy fatherH1 was an AmoriteH567, and thy motherH517 a HittiteH2850.
And as for thy nativity, in the dayH3117 thou wast bornH3205 thy navel was not cutH3772, neither wast thou washedH7364 in waterH4325 for cleansing; thou wast not rubbed with salt at all, nor swaddled at all.
No eyeH5869 pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassionH2550 upon thee; but thou wast castH7993 out in the open fieldH7704, from abhorrence of thy personH5315, in the dayH3117 that thou wast bornH3205.
And I passedH5674 by thee, and sawH7200 thee weltering in thy bloodH1818, and I saidH559 unto thee, in thy bloodH1818, LiveH2421! yea, I saidH559 unto thee, in thy bloodH1818, LiveH2421!
I caused thee to multiplyH7235, as the bud of the fieldH7704; and thou didst increaseH7235 and growH6779 greatH1431, and thou camest to fulness of beauty; [thy] breastsH7699 were fashioned, and thy hairH8181 grewH1431: but thou wast nakedH5903 and bare.
And I passedH5674 by thee, and lookedH7200 upon thee, and behold, thy timeH6256 wasH1961 the timeH6256 of love; and I spreadH6566 my skirtH3671 over thee, and coveredH3680 thy nakednessH6172; and I sworeH7650 unto thee, and entered into a covenantH1285 with thee, saith the LordH136 Jehovah, and thou becamest mine.
And I washedH7364 thee with waterH4325, and thoroughly washedH7364 away thy bloodH1818 from thee, and I anointed thee with oilH8081;
and I clothedH3847 thee with embroideredH7553 work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I boundH2280 thee about with byssus, and coveredH3680 thee with silkH4897.
And I decked thee with ornamentsH5716, and I putH5414 braceletsH6781 upon thy handsH3027, and a chainH7242 on thy neckH1627;
and I putH5414 a ringH5141 on thy noseH639, and earringsH5141 in thine earsH241, and a beautiful crownH5850 upon thy headH7218.
Thus wast thou decked with goldH2091 and silverH3701, and thy raiment was byssus, and silkH4897, and embroideredH7553 work. Thou didst eatH398 fineH5560 flourH5560, and honeyH1706, and oilH8081; and thou becamest exceedinglyH3966 beautifulH3302, and thou didst prosperH6743 into a kingdom.
And thy fame wentH3318 forthH3318 among the nationsH1471 for thy beautyH3308; for it was perfectH3632 through my magnificence, which I had putH7760 upon thee, saith the LordH136 Jehovah.
But thou didst confide in thy beautyH3308, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy whoredoms on every one that passedH5674 by: his it was.
And of thy garmentsH899 thou didst takeH3947, and madest for thyself highH1116 placesH1116 decked with divers colours, and didst playH2181 the harlot thereupon: [the like] hath not comeH935 to pass, and shall beH1961 no more.
