Ezekiel 14:12-23

12And the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto me, sayingH559, 13SonH1121 of manH120, when a landH776 sinneth against me by working unfaithfulnessH4604, and I stretchH5186 out my handH3027 upon it, and breakH7665 the staffH4294 of the breadH3899 thereof, and sendH7971 famineH7458 upon it, and cutH3772 off manH120 and beast from it; 14though these threeH7969 menH376, NoahH5146, DanielH1840, and JobH347, should beH1961 in it, they should deliverH5337 [but] their own soulsH5315 by their righteousnessH6666, saith the LordH136 Jehovah. 15If I cause evilH7451 beasts to passH5674 through the landH776, and they bereaveH7921 it, and it becomeH1961 a desolationH8077, so that no one passeth through because of the beasts; 16— though these threeH7969 menH376 should beH1961 in it, [as] I live, saith the LordH136 Jehovah, they should deliverH5337 neither sonsH1121 nor daughtersH1323: they onlyH905 should beH1961 deliveredH5337, and the landH776 should beH1961 a desolationH8077. 17Or [if] I bringH935 the swordH2719 upon that landH776, and sayH559, SwordH2719, goH935 through the landH776, so that I cutH3772 off manH120 and beast from it, 18and these threeH7969 menH376 should be in it, [as] I live, saith the LordH136 Jehovah, they should deliverH5337 neither sonsH1121 nor daughtersH1323, but they onlyH905 themselves should be deliveredH5337. 19Or [if] I sendH7971 a pestilenceH1698 into that landH776, and pourH8210 out my fury upon it in bloodH1818, to cutH3772 off from it manH120 and beast, 20and NoahH5146, DanielH1840, and JobH347 should be in it, [as] I live, saith the LordH136 Jehovah, they should deliverH5337 neither sonH1121 nor daughterH1323: they should [but] deliverH5337 their ownH5315 soulsH5315 by their righteousnessH6666. 21For thusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: How much moreH4480 when I sendH7971 my fourH702 sore judgmentsH8201 upon JerusalemH3389, the swordH2719, and the famineH7458, and the evilH7451 beast, and the pestilenceH1698, to cutH3772 off from it manH120 and beast! 22But behold, there shall be leftH3498 in it those that escapeH6413, who shall be broughtH935 out of [it], sonsH1121 and daughtersH1323. Behold, they shall comeH935 forthH3318 unto you, and ye shall seeH7200 their wayH1870 and their doings; and ye shall be comfortedH5162 concerning the evilH7451 that I have broughtH935 upon JerusalemH3389, as to all that I have broughtH935 upon it. 23And they shall comfortH5162 you, when ye seeH7200 their wayH1870 and their doings; and ye shall knowH3045 that I have not done without causeH2600 all that I have done in it, saith the LordH136 Jehovah.
