Ezekiel 14:12-23
12The wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came again to me, sayingH559, 13SonH1121 of manH120, when the landH776 sinnethH2398 against me by trespassingH4603 grievouslyH4604, then will I stretch outH5186 my handH3027 upon it, and will breakH7665 the staffH4294 of its breadH3899, and will sendH7971 famineH7458 upon it, and will cut offH3772 manH120 and beastH929 from it: 14Though these threeH7969 menH582, NoahH5146, DanielH1840, and JobH347, were in itH8432, they should deliverH5337 their own soulsH5315 only by their righteousnessH6666, saithH5002 the LordH136 GODH3069. 15IfH3863 I cause evilH7451 beastsH2416 to pass throughH5674 the landH776, and they lay it wasteH7921, so that it be desolateH8077, that no man may pass throughH5674 becauseH6440 of the beastsH2416:1 16Though these threeH7969 menH582 were in itH8432, as I liveH2416, saithH5002 the LordH136 GODH3069, they shall deliverH5337 neither sonsH1121 nor daughtersH1323; they only shall be deliveredH5337, but the landH776 shall be desolateH8077.2 17Or if I bringH935 a swordH2719 upon that landH776, and sayH559, SwordH2719, go throughH5674 the landH776; so that I cut offH3772 manH120 and beastH929 from it: 18Though these threeH7969 menH582 were in itH8432, as I liveH2416, saithH5002 the LordH136 GODH3069, they shall deliverH5337 neither sonsH1121 nor daughtersH1323, but they only shall be deliveredH5337 themselves. 19Or if I sendH7971 a pestilenceH1698 into that landH776, and pour outH8210 my furyH2534 upon it in bloodH1818, to cut offH3772 from it manH120 and beastH929: 20Though NoahH5146, DanielH1840, and JobH347, were in itH8432, as I liveH2416, saithH5002 the LordH136 GODH3069, they shall deliverH5337 neither sonH1121 norH518 daughterH1323; they shall deliverH5337 their own soulsH5315 only by their righteousnessH6666. 21For thus saithH559 the LordH136 GODH3069; How much more when I sendH7971 my fourH702 grievousH7451 judgmentsH8201 upon JerusalemH3389, the swordH2719, and the famineH7458, and the evilH7451 beastH2416, and the pestilenceH1698, to cut offH3772 from it manH120 and beastH929?3 22Yet, behold, in it shall be leftH3498 a remnantH6413 that shall be brought forthH3318, both sonsH1121 and daughtersH1323: behold, they shall come forthH3318 to you, and ye shall seeH7200 their wayH1870 and their doingsH5949: and ye shall be comfortedH5162 concerning the evilH7451 that I have broughtH935 upon JerusalemH3389, even concerning all that I have broughtH935 upon it. 23And they shall comfortH5162 you, when ye seeH7200 their waysH1870 and their doingsH5949: and ye shall knowH3045 that I have not doneH6213 without causeH2600 all that I have doneH6213 in it, saithH5002 the LordH136 GODH3069.
