Darby Bible
1And MosesH4872 went and spokeH1696 these wordsH1697 to all IsraelH3478; 2and he saidH559 unto them, I am a hundredH3967 and twentyH6242 yearsH8141 old this dayH3117, I can no more goH3318 out and comeH935 in; and Jehovah hath saidH559 unto me, Thou shalt not goH3318 over this JordanH3383. 3Jehovah thy 1GodH430, he will go over before thee, he will destroyH8045 these nationsH1471 from before thee, that thou mayest takeH3423 possessionH3423 of them: JoshuaH3091, he shall go over before thee, as Jehovah hath saidH1696. 4And Jehovah will do to them as he did to SihonH5511 and to OgH5747, the kingsH4428 of the AmoritesH567, and to their landH776; whom he destroyedH8045. 5And whenH834 Jehovah giveth them up before you, ye shall do to them according to all the commandmentH4687 which I have commandedH6680 you. 6Be strongH2388 and courageousH553, fearH3372 them not, neither be afraidH3372 of them; for Jehovah thy 2GodH430, he it is that goeth with thee; he will not leave thee, nor forsakeH5800 thee. 7And MosesH4872 calledH7121 to JoshuaH3091, and saidH559 to him in the sight of all IsraelH3478, Be strongH2388 and courageousH553, for thou must goH935 with this peopleH5971 into the landH776 which Jehovah hath swornH7650 unto their fathersH1 to giveH5414 them; and thou shalt cause them to inheritH5157 it. 8And Jehovah, he it is that goeth before thee: he will beH1961 with thee; he will not leave thee, nor forsakeH5800 thee; fearH3372 not, neither beH1961 dismayedH2865. 9And MosesH4872 wroteH3789 this lawH8451, and delivered it to the priestsH3548, the sonsH1121 of LeviH3878, who boreH5375 the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of Jehovah, and to all the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478. 10And MosesH4872 commandedH6680 them, sayingH559, At the endH7093 of every sevenH7651 yearsH8141, at the set timeH4150 of the yearH8141 of release, at the feastH2282 of tabernacles, 11whenH834 all IsraelH3478 cometh to appearH7200 before Jehovah thy 3GodH430 in the placeH4725 which he will chooseH977, thou shalt readH7121 this lawH8451 before all IsraelH3478 in their earsH241. 12Gather the peopleH5971 togetherH6950, the menH376, and the womenH802, and the children, and thy stranger that is within thy gatesH8179, that they may hearH8085, and that they may learnH3925, and fearH3372 Jehovah your 4GodH430, and takeH8104 heed to do all the wordsH1697 of this lawH8451; 13and that their children who do not knowH3045 it may hearH8085 it and learnH3925, that they may fearH3372 Jehovah your 5GodH430, as long as ye live in the landH127, whereunto ye passH5674 over the JordanH3383 to possessH3423 it. 14And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872, Lo, the daysH3117 are near for thee to dieH4191; callH7121 JoshuaH3091, and presentH7126 yourselves at the tentH168 of meetingH4150, that I may give him a charge. And MosesH4872 and JoshuaH3091 went and presentedH7126 themselves at the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 15And Jehovah appearedH7200 at the tentH168 in the pillarH5982 of cloudH6051; and the pillarH5982 of cloudH6051 stoodH5975 over the entranceH6607 to the tentH168. 16And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathersH1; and this peopleH5971 will riseH6965 up, and goH935 a whoring after the strange 6godsH430 of the landH776 into which they enter, and will forsakeH5800 me, and breakH6565 my covenantH1285 which I have madeH3772 with them. 17And my angerH639 shall beH1961 kindled against them in that dayH3117, and I will forsakeH5800 them, and I will hideH5641 my faceH6440 from them, and they shall beH1961 devouredH398, and manyH7227 evils and troubles shall befall them, and they will sayH559 in that dayH3117, Have not these evils befallen me because my 7GodH430 is not in my midstH7130? 18And I will entirely hideH5641 my faceH6440 in that dayH3117 for all the evils that they have wrought, because they turnedH6437 unto otherH312 8godsH430. 19And nowH6258, writeH3789 ye this songH7892, and teachH3925 it to the children of IsraelH3478; putH7760 it in their mouthsH6310, that this songH7892 may beH1961 a witnessH5707 for me against the children of IsraelH3478. 20For I shall bringH935 them into the landH127 which I sworeH7650 unto their fathersH1, which floweth with milkH2461 and honeyH1706; and they will eatH398 and fill themselves, and wax fatH1878, and will turnH6437 unto otherH312 9godsH430, and serveH5647 them, and despise me, and breakH6565 my covenantH1285. 21And it shall comeH935 to pass, when manyH7227 evils and troubles have befallen them, that this songH7892 shall testifyH6030 against them as a witnessH5707; for it shall not beH1961 forgottenH7911 out of the mouthsH6310 of their seedH2233; for I knowH3045 their imagination which they are forming already this dayH3117, before I bringH935 them into the landH776 which I have swornH7650 [unto them]. 22And MosesH4872 wroteH3789 this songH7892 the same dayH3117, and taughtH3925 it to the children of IsraelH3478. 23And [Jehovah] commandedH6680 JoshuaH3091 the sonH1121 of NunH5126, and saidH559, BeH1961 strongH2388 and courageousH553; for thou shalt bringH935 the children of IsraelH3478 into the landH776 which I have swornH7650 unto them; and I will beH1961 with thee. 24And it came to pass, when MosesH4872 had endedH8552 writingH3789 the wordsH1697 of this lawH8451 in a bookH5612, until their conclusion, 25that MosesH4872 commandedH6680 the LevitesH3881, who boreH5375 the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of Jehovah, sayingH559, 26TakeH3947 this bookH5612 of the lawH8451, and putH7760 it at the sideH6654 of the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of Jehovah your 10GodH430, that it may beH1961 there for a witnessH5707 against thee; 27for I knowH3045 thy rebellionH4805, and thy stiff neckH6203. Lo, while I am yetH5750 aliveH2416 with you this dayH3117, ye have beenH1961 rebelliousH4805 against Jehovah; and how much more after my deathH4194! 28Gather to me all the eldersH2205 of your tribesH7626, and your officersH7860, that I may speakH1696 these wordsH1697 in their earsH241, and take heavenH8064 and earthH776 to witness against them. 29For I knowH3045 that after my deathH4194 ye will utterly corruptH7843 yourselves, and will turnH5493 asideH5493 from the wayH1870 which I have commandedH6680 you; and mischief will befall you at the endH319 of daysH3117; because ye do evilH7451 in the sight of Jehovah, to provokeH3707 him to angerH3707 through the workH4639 of your handsH3027. 30And MosesH4872 spokeH1696 in the earsH241 of the whole congregation of IsraelH3478 the wordsH1697 of this songH7892, until their conclusion.
