Deuteronomy 11
Darby Bible
1Thou shalt loveH157 then Jehovah thy 1GodH430, and keepH8104 his chargeH4931, and his statutesH2708, and his ordinancesH4941, and his commandmentsH4687 continually. 2And knowH3045 ye this dayH3117...; for [I speak] not with your children who have not knownH3045, and who have not seenH7200 the chastisement of Jehovah your 2GodH430, his greatnessH1433, his powerful handH3027, and his stretched-outH5186 armH2220, 3and his signsH226 and his actsH6213 which he did in the midstH8432 of EgyptH4714 unto PharaohH6547 the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714, and unto all his landH776; 4and what he did unto the armyH2428 of EgyptH4714, unto their horsesH5483, and unto their chariotsH7393, over which he madeH6213 the waterH4325 of the Red seaH3220 flow as they pursuedH7291 after you, and Jehovah destroyedH6 them unto this dayH3117; 5— and what he did unto you in the wildernessH4057, until ye cameH935 to this placeH4725; 6and what he did unto DathanH1885 and AbiramH48, the sonsH1121 of EliabH446, the sonH1121 of ReubenH7205, — how the earthH776 openedH6475 its mouthH6310, and swallowedH1104 them up, with their householdsH1004, and their tentsH168, and all the living substance that belonged to them, in the midstH7130 of all IsraelH3478. 7For your eyesH5869 have seenH7200 all the greatH1419 workH4639 of Jehovah which he hath done. 8KeepH8104 then all the commandmentH4687 which I commandH6680 you this dayH3117, that ye may be strongH2388, and enter in and possessH3423 the landH776, whither ye passH5674 over to possessH3423 it; 9and that ye may prolongH748 your daysH3117 in the landH776 which Jehovah sworeH7650 unto your fathersH1 to giveH5414 unto them and unto their seedH2233, a landH776 flowingH2100 with milkH2461 and honeyH1706. 10For the landH776, whither thou enterest in to possessH3423 it, is not as the landH776 of EgyptH4714, from whence ye cameH935 out, whereH834 thou sowedst thy seedH2233, and wateredst it with thy footH7272, as a gardenH1588 of herbs; 11but the landH776, whereunto ye are passing over to possessH3423 it, is a landH776 of mountainsH2022 and valleysH1237, which drinketh waterH4325 of the rainH4306 of heavenH8064, 12a landH776 which Jehovah thy 3GodH430 careth for; the eyesH5869 of Jehovah thy 4GodH430 are constantly upon it, from the beginning of the yearH8141 even unto the endH319 of the yearH8141. 13And it shall come to pass, if ye hearken diligently unto my commandmentsH4687 which I commandH6680 you this dayH3117, to loveH157 Jehovah your 5GodH430, and to serveH5647 him with all your heartH3824 and with all your soulH5315, 14that I will giveH5414 rainH4306 to your landH776 in its season, the early rainH4306 and the latter rainH4306; and thou shalt gatherH622 in thy corn, and thy newH8492 wineH8492, and thine oilH3323; 15and I will giveH5414 grassH6212 in thy fieldH7704 for thy cattleH929; and thou shalt eatH398 and be full. 16Take heedH8104 to yourselves, that your heartH3824 be not deceived, and ye turnH5493 asideH5493 and serveH5647 otherH312 6godsH430, and bowH7812 downH7812 to them, 17and Jehovah's wrath kindle against you, and he shutH6113 up the heavensH8064, that there beH1961 no rainH4306, and that the groundH776 yield not its produceH2981, and ye perishH6 quicklyH4120 from off the goodH2896 landH776 which Jehovah is givingH5414 you. 18And ye shall lay up these my wordsH1697 in your heartH3824 and in your soulH5315, and bindH7194 them for a signH226 upon your handH3027, and they shall beH1961 for frontlets between your eyesH5869. 19And ye shall teachH3925 them unto your children, speakingH1696 of them when thou sittest in thy houseH1004, and when thou goest on the wayH1870, and when thou liest downH7901, and when thou risest up; 20and writeH3789 them upon the posts of thy houseH1004, and upon thy gatesH8179; 21that your daysH3117 may be multipliedH7235, and the daysH3117 of your children, in the landH776 which Jehovah sworeH7650 unto your fathersH1 to giveH5414 them, as the daysH3117 of the heavensH8064 [which are] above the earthH776. 22For if ye diligently keepH8104 all this commandmentH4687 which I commandH6680 you [this day] to do it, to loveH157 Jehovah your 7GodH430, to walk in all his waysH1870, and to cleave unto him, 23then will Jehovah dispossessH3423 all these nationsH1471 from before you, and ye shall takeH3423 possessionH3423 of nationsH1471 greaterH1419 and mightierH6099 than yourselves. 24Every placeH4725 whereon the soleH3709 of your footH7272 shall treadH1869 shall beH1961 yours; from the wildernessH4057 and LebanonH3844, from the riverH5104, the riverH5104 EuphratesH6578, even unto the hinder seaH3220 shall your borderH1366 beH1961. 25No manH376 shall be able to standH3320 before you: the fearH6343 of you and the dreadH6343 of you will Jehovah your 8GodH430 lay upon all the landH776 that ye shall treadH1869 upon, as he hath saidH1696 unto you. 26SeeH7200, I setH5414 before you this dayH3117 a blessingH1293 and a curseH7045: 27a blessingH1293, if ye obey the commandmentsH4687 of Jehovah your 9GodH430, which I commandH6680 you this dayH3117; 28and a curseH7045, if ye will not obey the commandmentsH4687 of Jehovah your 10GodH430, but turnH5493 asideH5493 out of the wayH1870 which I commandH6680 you this dayH3117, to go after otherH312 11godsH430 which ye have not knownH3045. 29And it shall comeH935 to pass, when Jehovah thy 12GodH430 hath broughtH935 thee into the landH776 whither thou enterest in to possessH3423 it, that thou shalt putH5414 the blessingH1293 upon mount GerizimH1630, and the curseH7045 upon mount EbalH5858. 30Are they not on the otherH5676 sideH5676 of the JordanH3383, beyond the wayH1870 toward the going downH3427 of the sunH8121, in the landH776 of the CanaanitesH3669 that dwellH3427 on the plainH6160 oppositeH4136 to GilgalH1537, beside the oaks of MorehH4176? 31For ye passH5674 over the JordanH3383 to enter in to possessH3423 the landH776 which Jehovah your 13GodH430 giveth you, and ye shall takeH3423 possessionH3423 of it, and dwellH3427 therein. 32And ye shall takeH8104 heedH8104 to do all the statutesH2706 and ordinancesH4941 which I setH5414 before you this dayH3117.
