Deuteronomy 26
Darby Bible
1And it shall beH1961 when thou comest into the landH776 that Jehovah thy 1GodH430 giveth thee for an inheritanceH5159, and possessest it, and dwellest therein, 2that thou shalt takeH3947 of the firstH7225 of all the fruitH6529 of the groundH776, which thou shalt bringH935 of thy landH776 which Jehovah thy 2GodH430 giveth thee, and shalt putH5414 it in a basketH2935, and shalt goH1980 unto the placeH4725 that Jehovah thy 3GodH430 will chooseH977 to cause his nameH8034 to dwellH7931 there; 3and thou shalt comeH935 unto the priestH3548 that shall beH1961 in those daysH3117, and sayH559 unto him, I profess this dayH3117 unto Jehovah thy 4GodH430, that I amH1961 comeH935 unto the landH776 that Jehovah sworeH7650 unto our fathersH1 to giveH5414 us. 4And the priestH3548 shall takeH3947 the basketH2935 out of thy handH3027, and set it down before the altarH4196 of Jehovah thy 5GodH430. 5And thou shalt speak and sayH559 before Jehovah thy 6GodH430, A perishingH6 Aramaean wasH1961 my fatherH1, and he wentH3381 downH3381 to EgyptH4714 with a fewH4592, and sojourned there, and becameH1961 there a nationH1471, greatH1419, mightyH6099, and populous. 6And the EgyptiansH4713 evil-entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hardH7186 bondage; 7and we criedH6817 to Jehovah, the 7GodH430 of our fathersH1, and Jehovah heardH8085 our voiceH6963, and lookedH7200 on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppressionH3906; 8and Jehovah broughtH3318 us forthH3318 out of EgyptH4714 with a powerful handH3027, and with a stretched-outH5186 armH2220, and with greatH1419 terribleness, and with signsH226, and with wondersH4159; 9and he hath broughtH935 us into this placeH4725, and hath givenH5414 us this landH776, a landH776 flowingH2100 with milkH2461 and honeyH1706! 10And nowH6258, behold, I have broughtH935 the firstH7225 of the fruitsH7225 of the landH127, which thou, Jehovah, hast givenH5414 me. And thou shalt setH5414 it downH7812 before Jehovah thy 8GodH430, and worship before Jehovah thy 9GodH430. 11And thou shalt rejoiceH8055 in all the goodH2896 that Jehovah thy 10GodH430 hath givenH5414 to thee, and to thy houseH1004, thou, and the LeviteH3881, and the stranger that is in thy midstH7130. 12When thou hast madeH5414 an endH3615 of tithingH4643 all the tithesH4643 of thy produceH8393 in the thirdH7992 yearH8141, the yearH8141 of tithingH4643, thou shalt giveH5414 it to the LeviteH3881, to the stranger, to the fatherlessH3490, and to the widowH490, that they may eatH398 in thy gatesH8179, and be filled; 13and thou shalt sayH559 before Jehovah thy 11GodH430, I have brought away the hallowed thingsH6944 out of the houseH1004, and alsoH1571 have givenH5414 them to the LeviteH3881, and to the stranger, to the fatherlessH3490, and to the widowH490, according to all thy commandmentH4687 which thou hast commandedH6680 me; I have not transgressed nor forgottenH7911 [any] of thy commandmentsH4687: 14I have not eatenH398 thereof in my mourning, neither have I brought away thereof in uncleanness, nor givenH5414 thereof for a deadH4191 person; I have hearkened to the voiceH6963 of Jehovah my 12GodH430; I have done according to all that thou hast commandedH6680 me. 15LookH8259 down from thy holyH6944 habitationH4583, from the heavensH8064, and blessH1288 thy peopleH5971 IsraelH3478, and the landH776 that thou hast givenH5414 us as thou didst swearH7650 unto our fathersH1, a landH776 flowingH2100 with milkH2461 and honeyH1706! 16This dayH3117 Jehovah thy 13GodH430 hath commandedH6680 thee to do these statutesH2706 and ordinancesH4941; and thou shalt keepH8104 and do them with all thy heartH3824 and with all thy soulH5315. 17Thou hast this dayH3117 accepted Jehovah to beH1961 thy 14GodH430, and to walk in his waysH1870, and keepH8104 his statutesH2706, and his commandmentsH4687, and his ordinancesH4941, and to hearken unto his voiceH6963; 18and Jehovah hath accepted thee this dayH3117 to beH1961 a peopleH5971 of possessionH5459 to him, as he hath told thee, and that thou shouldest keepH8104 all his commandmentsH4687, 19so that he should makeH5414 thee high above all the nationsH1471 which he hath madeH6213, in praiseH8416 and in nameH8034 and in honour; and that thou shouldest beH1961 a holyH6918 peopleH5971 to Jehovah thy 15GodH430, as he hath saidH1696.
