34 And Jesus Ἰησοῦς Iēsous G2424 said ἔλεγεν· elegen G3004 , Father πάτερ, pater G3962 , forgive ἄφες aphes G863 them , for they know not what they do . And , parting out his garments ἱμάτια himatia G2440 , they cast ἔβαλον ebalon G906 lots κλήρους. klērous G2819 . 36 And the soldiers στρατιῶται stratiōtai G4757 also καὶ kai G2532 made game of him , coming G4334 up offering προσφέροντες prospherontes G4374 him vinegar, 37 and saying λέγοντες· legontes G3004 , If thou be G1510 the king βασιλεὺς basileus G935 of the Jews Ἰουδαίων, Ioudaiōn G2453 , save σῶσον sōson G4982 thyself. 38 And there was G1510 also καὶ kai G2532 an inscription ἐπιγραφὴ epigraphē G1923 [written] over him in Greek, and Roman, and Hebrew letters: This is G1510 the King βασιλεὺς basileus G935 of the Jews Ἰουδαίων Ioudaiōn G2453 . 39 Now δὲ de G1161 one Εἷς Heis G1520 of the malefactors who had been G1510 hanged κρεμασθέντων kremasthentōn G2910 spoke G3004 insultingly to him , saying λέγων· legōn G3004 , Art not thou the Christ χριστός; christos G5547 ? save σῶσον sōson G4982 thyself and us . 40 But the other ἕτερος heteros G2087 answering Ἀποκριθεὶς Apokritheis G611 rebuked G2008 him , saying , Dost thou too not fear φοβῇ phobēa G5399 God θεὸν theon G2316 , thou that art under the same G846 judgment κρίματι krimati G2917 ? 41 and we indeed justly δικαίως, dikaiōs G1346 , for we receive G618 the just recompense of what we have done ; but this [ man οὗτος houtos G3778 ] has done nothing amiss. 42 And he said ἔλεγεν· elegen G3004 to Jesus Ἰησοῦ, Iēsou G2424 , Remember μνήσθητί mnēsthēti G3403 me , [Lord,] when ὅταν hotan G3752 thou comest in thy kingdom βασιλείαν basileian G932 . 43 And Jesus said λέγω· legō G3004 to him , Verily I say G3004 to thee, To-day shalt thou be ἔσῃ esē G1510 with me in paradise παραδείσῳ.¶ paradeisō G3857 . 45 And the sun ἡλίου hēliou G2246 was darkened, and the veil καταπέτασμα katapetasma G2665 of the temple ναοῦ naou G3485 rent in the midst G3319 . 46 And Jesus Ἰησοῦς Iēsous G2424 , having cried with a loud μεγάλῃ megalē G3173 voice φωνῇ phōnēa G5456 , said G3004 , Father πάτερ, pater G3962 , into thy hands χεῖράς cheiras G5495 I commit παρατίθεμαι paratithemai G3908 my spirit πνεῦμά pneuma G4151 .
