33WhenὅτεhoteG3753they cameἦλθονēlthonG2064to the placeτόπονtoponG5117calledκαλούμενονkaloumenonG2564The SkullΚρανίον,KranionG2898,thereἐκεῖekeiG1563they crucifiedἐσταύρωσανestaurōsanG4717Him and the criminalsκακούργους,kakourgousG2557,oneὃνhonG3739on the rightδεξιῶν,dexiōnG1188and the otherὃνhonG3739on the leftἀριστερῶν.aristerōnG710.

34But JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424was sayingἔλεγεν·elegenG3004, “Fatherπάτερ,paterG3962,forgiveἄφεςaphesG863them; for they do not knowG3609whatτίtiG5101they are doingποιοῦσιν.]]poiousinG4160.”And they castἔβαλονebalonG906lotsκλήρους.klērousG2819,dividingG1266up His garmentsἱμάτιαhimatiaG2440amongG1266themselves.

35And the peopleλαὸςlaosG2992stoodεἱστήκειheistēkeiG2476by, lookingθεωρῶν.theōrōnG2334on. And evenG2532therulersἄρχοντεςarchontesG758were sneeringἐξεμυκτήριζονexemuktērizonG1592at Him, sayingλέγοντες·legontesG3004, “He savedἔσωσεν,esōsenG4982othersἄλλουςallousG243;let Him saveσωσάτωsōsatōG4982Himselfἑαυτόν,he'autonG1438ifεἰeiG1487thisοὗτόςhoutosG3778is theChristχριστὸςchristosG5547of GodθεοῦtheouG2316,His ChosenG1588OneG1588.”

36The soldiersστρατιῶταιstratiōtaiG4757alsoκαὶkaiG2532mockedἐνέπαιξανenepaixanG1702Him, comingπροσερχόμενοι,proserchomenoiG4334up to Him,offeringπροσφέροντεςprospherontesG4374Him sourὄξοςoxosG3690wineG3690,

37and sayingλέγοντες·legontesG3004, “IfεἰeiG1487You are the KingβασιλεὺςbasileusG935of the JewsἸουδαίων,IoudaiōnG2453,saveσῶσονsōsonG4982YourselfG4572!”

38NowδὲdeG1161there was alsoκαὶkaiG2532an inscriptionἐπιγραφὴepigraphēG1923aboveἐπ᾽ep᾽G1909Him, “THISοὗτος.¶houtosG3778IS THE KINGβασιλεὺςbasileusG935OF THE JEWSἸουδαίωνIoudaiōnG2453.”

39OneΕἷςHeisG1520of the criminalsκακούργωνkakourgōnG2557who were hangedκρεμασθέντωνkremasthentōnG2910there washurlingG987abuseG987at Him, sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, “Are You not theChristχριστός;christosG5547?SaveσῶσονsōsonG4982YourselfG4572and us!”

40But the otherἕτεροςheterosG2087answeredἈποκριθεὶςApokritheisG611,and rebukingἐπιτιμῶνepitimōnG2008him saidἔφη·ephēG5346, “Do you not evenοὐδὲoudeG3761fearφοβῇphobēaG5399GodθεὸνtheonG2316,sinceὅτιhotiG3754you are underἐνenG1722the sameG846sentenceG2917of condemnationG2917?

41And we indeedμὲνmenG3303are sufferingjustlyδικαίως,dikaiōsG1346,for we are receivingἀπολαμβάνομεν·apolambanomenG618whatG3739we deserveἄξιαaxiaG514for our deedsἐπράξαμενepraxamenG3739 G4238;but thisG3778manοὗτοςhoutosG3778has doneἔπραξεν.epraxenG4238nothingοὐδὲνoudenG3762wrongἄτοπονatoponG824.”

42And he was sayingἔλεγεν·elegenG3004, “JesusἸησοῦ,IēsouG2424,rememberμνήσθητίmnēsthētiG3403me whenὅτανhotanG3752You comeἔλθῃςelthēsG2064in Your kingdomβασιλείανbasileianG932!”

43And He saidλέγω·legōG3004to him,“TrulyἀμήνamēnG281I sayG3004to you, todayσήμερονsēmeronG4594you shall be with Me inParadiseπαραδείσῳ.¶paradeisōG3857.”

44It was nowἤδηēdēG2235aboutὡσεὶhōseiG5616the sixthἕκτη,hektēG1623hourὥραhōraG5610,and darknessσκότοςskotosG4655fellἐγένετοegenetoG1096overἐφ᾽eph᾽G1909the wholeὅληνholēnG3650landγῆνgēnG1093untilἕωςhe'ōsG2193the ninthG1729hourὥραςhōrasG5610,

45because the sunἡλίουhēliouG2246was obscuredἐκλιπόντος.eklipontosG1587; andthe veilκαταπέτασμαkatapetasmaG2665of the templeναοῦnaouG3485was tornἐσχίσθηeschisthēG4977in twoμέσον.mesonG3319.

46And JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424,cryingφωνήσαςphōnēsasG5455out with a loudμεγάλῃmegalēG3173voiceφωνῇphōnēaG5456,saidG3004,“Fatherπάτερ,paterG3962,into Your handsχεῖράςcheirasG5495I commitπαρατίθεμαιparatithemaiG3908My spiritπνεῦμάpneumaG4151.”Having saidG3004thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778,He breathedG1606His lastἐξέπνευσεν.¶exepneusenG1606.
