Luke 24:17-41
17And he saidG3004 unto them, What communications are these that ye have oneG240 with another, as ye walkG4043? And they stoodG2476 still, looking sad. 18And oneG1520 of them, namedG3686 Cleopas, answeringG611 saidG3004 unto him, Dost thou aloneG3441 sojourn in JerusalemG2419 and not knowG1097 the thingsG3778 which are comeG1096 to passG1096 there in these daysG2250? 19And he saidG3004 unto them, What thingsG3956? And they saidG3004 unto him, The thingsG3956 concerningG4012 JesusG2424 the NazareneG3479, who was a prophetG4396 mightyG1415 in deedG2041 and wordG3056 before GodG2316 and all the peopleG2992: 20and howG3704 the chiefG749 priestsG749 and our rulersG758 deliveredG3860 him up to be condemned to deathG2288, and crucifiedG4717 him. 21But we hopedG1679 that it wasG1510 he who should redeemG3084 IsraelG2474. Yea and besides all this, it isG1510 nowG1161 the thirdG5154 dayG2250 since these thingsG3778 cameG1096 to passG1096. 22Moreover certainG5100 womenG1135 of our company amazed us, having been early at the tombG3419; 23and when they foundG2147 not his bodyG4983, they cameG2064, sayingG3004, that they had alsoG2532 seenG3708 a visionG3701 of angelsG32, who saidG3004 that he was aliveG2198. 24And certainG5100 of them that were with us wentG565 to the tombG3419, and foundG2147 it evenG2532 so as the womenG1135 had saidG3004: but him they sawG3708 not. 25And he saidG3004 unto them, O foolishG453 men, and slowG1021 of heartG2588 to believeG4100 in all that the prophetsG4396 have spokenG2980! 26Behooved it not the ChristG5547 to sufferG3958 these thingsG3778, and to enterG1525 into his gloryG1391? 27And beginningG757 from MosesG3475 and from all the prophetsG4396, he interpreted to them in all the scripturesG1124 the thingsG3956 concerningG4012 himself. 28And they drew nigh unto the villageG2968, whither they were goingG4198: and he made as though he would goG4198 further. 29And they constrained him, sayingG3004, AbideG3306 with us; for it isG1510 toward eveningG2073, and the dayG2250 isG1510 now far spent. And he wentG1525 in to abideG3306 with them. 30And it cameG1096 to passG1096, when he had sat down with them to meat, he tookG2983 the breadG740 and blessedG2127; and breakingG2806 it he gaveG1929 to them. 31And their eyesG3788 were openedG1272, and they knewG1921 him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32And they saidG3004 oneG240 to another, WasG1510 not our heartG2588 burningG2545 within us, while he spake to us in the wayG3598, while he openedG1272 to us the scripturesG1124? 33And they roseG450 up that very hourG5610, and returnedG5290 to JerusalemG2419, and foundG2147 the elevenG1733 gathered togetherG4867, and them that were with them, 34sayingG3004, The LordG2962 is risenG1453 indeed, and hath appeared to SimonG4613. 35And they rehearsed the things that happened in the wayG3598, and howG5613 he was knownG1097 of them in the breakingG2800 of the breadG740.
36And as they spake these thingsG3778, he himself stoodG2476 in the midstG3319 of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 37But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they beheld a spiritG4151. 38And he saidG3004 unto them, WhyG5101 areG1510 ye troubledG5015? and wherefore do questionings arise in your heartG2588? 39SeeG3708 my handsG5495 and my feetG4228, that it isG1510 I myself: handle me, and seeG3708; for a spiritG4151 hath not fleshG4561 and bones, as ye behold me having. 40And when he had saidG3004 this, he showed them his handsG5495 and his feetG4228. 41And while they stillG2089 disbelieved for joyG5479, and wonderedG2296, he saidG3004 unto them, Have ye hereG1759 anythingG5100 to eat?
