Jeremiah 30

1The wordH1697 that came to JeremiahH3414 from Jehovah, sayingH559, 2ThusH3541 speaketh Jehovah, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, WriteH3789 thee all the wordsH1697 that I have spokenH1696 unto thee in a bookH5612. 3For, lo, the daysH3117 comeH935, saith Jehovah, that I will turnH7725 again the captivityH7622 of my peopleH5971 IsraelH3478 and JudahH3063, saith Jehovah; and I will cause them to returnH7725 to the landH776 that I gaveH5414 to their fathersH1, and they shall possessH3423 it.

4And these are the wordsH1697 that Jehovah spake concerningH413 IsraelH3478 and concerningH413 JudahH3063. 5For thusH3541 saith Jehovah: We have heardH8085 a voiceH6963 of trembling, of fearH6343, and not of peaceH7965. 6AskH7592 ye now, and seeH7200 whether a manH1397 doth travail with childH3205: wherefore do I seeH7200 every manH1397 with his handsH3027 on his loinsH2504, as a woman in travail, and all facesH6440 are turnedH2015 into paleness? 7AlasH1945! for that dayH3117 is greatH1419, so that none is like it: it is even the timeH6256 of Jacob’s troubleH6869; but he shall be savedH3467 out of it. 8And it shall come to pass in that dayH3117, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635, that I will breakH7665 his yokeH5923 from off thy neckH6677, and will burst thy bonds; and strangersH2114 shall no more make him their bondman; 9but they shall serveH5647 Jehovah their GodH430, and DavidH1732 their kingH4428, whom I will raiseH6965 up unto them. 10Therefore fearH3372 thou not, O JacobH3290 my servantH5650, saith Jehovah; neither be dismayedH2865, O IsraelH3478: for, lo, I will saveH3467 thee from afarH7350, and thy seedH2233 from the landH776 of their captivityH7628; and JacobH3290 shall returnH7725, and shall be quietH8252 and at easeH7599, and none shall make him afraidH3372. 11For I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to saveH3467 thee: for I will makeH6213 a full end of all the nationsH1471 whither I have scatteredH6327 thee, but I will not makeH6213 a full end of thee; but I will correct thee in measure, and will in no wise leaveH5352 thee unpunishedH5352.

12For thusH3541 saith Jehovah, Thy hurt is incurableH605, and thy woundH4347 grievous. 13There is none to plead thy causeH1779, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines. 14All thy loversH157 have forgottenH7911 thee; they seekH1875 thee not: for I have woundedH5221 thee with the woundH4347 of an enemyH341, with the chastisement of a cruelH394 one, for the greatnessH7230 of thine iniquityH5771, because thy sinsH2403 were increased. 15WhyH4100 criest thou for thy hurt? thy painH4341 is incurableH605: for the greatnessH7230 of thine iniquityH5771, because thy sinsH2403 were increased, I have done these thingsH428 unto thee. 16ThereforeH3651 all they that devourH398 thee shall beH1961 devouredH398; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivityH7628; and they that despoil thee shall beH1961 a spoilH957, and all that preyH957 upon thee will I giveH5414 for a preyH957. 17For I will restore health unto thee, and I will healH7495 thee of thy woundsH4347, saith Jehovah; because they have calledH7121 thee an outcastH5080, saying, It is ZionH6726, whom no man seeketh after.

18ThusH3541 saith Jehovah: Behold, I will turnH7725 again the captivityH7622 of Jacob’s tentsH168, and have compassionH7355 on his dwelling-places; and the cityH5892 shall be builded upon its own hill, and the palace shall be inhabitedH3427 after its own manner. 19And out of them shall proceed thanksgivingH8426 and the voiceH6963 of them that makeH3513 merry: and I will multiplyH7235 them, and they shall not be fewH4591; I will also glorifyH3513 them, and they shall not be smallH4591. 20Their children also shall beH1961 as aforetime, and their congregationH5712 shall beH1961 establishedH3559 before me; and I will punishH6485 all that oppressH3905 them. 21And their prince shall beH1961 of themselves, and their rulerH4910 shall proceed from the midstH7130 of them; and I will cause him to drawH7126 near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is he that hath had boldness to approach unto me? saith Jehovah. 22And ye shall beH1961 my peopleH5971, and I will beH1961 your GodH430.

23Behold, the tempestH5591 of Jehovah, even hiswrathH2534, is goneH3318 forthH3318, a sweeping tempestH5591: it shall burst upon the headH7218 of the wickedH7563. 24The fierce angerH639 of Jehovah shall not returnH7725, until he have executed, and till he have performed the intents of his heartH3820: in the latterH319 daysH3117 ye shall understandH995 it.
