Jeremiah 33

1Moreover the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto JeremiahH3414 the secondH8145 timeH8145, while he wasH1961 yetH5750 shutH6113 up in the courtH2691 of the guardH4307, sayingH559, 2ThusH3541 saith Jehovah that doeth it, Jehovah that formeth it to establishH3559 it; Jehovah is his nameH8034: 3CallH7121 unto me, and I will answerH6030 thee, and will show thee greatH1419 thingsH1419, and difficult, which thou knowest not. 4For thusH3541 saith Jehovah, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, concerning the housesH1004 of this cityH5892, and concerning the housesH1004 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063, which are brokenH5422 downH5422 to make a defence against the mounds and against the swordH2719; 5while menH120 comeH935 to fightH3898 with the ChaldeansH3778, and to fillH4390 them with the dead bodies of menH120, whom I have slain in mine angerH639 and in my wrathH2534, and for all whose wickednessH7451 I have hidH5641 my faceH6440 from this cityH5892: 6Behold, I will bringH5927 it health and cure, and I will cure them; and I will revealH1540 unto them abundance of peaceH7965 and truthH571. 7And I will cause the captivityH7622 of JudahH3063 and the captivityH7622 of IsraelH3478 to returnH7725, and will buildH1129 them, as at the firstH7223. 8And I will cleanseH2891 them from all their iniquityH5771, whereby they have sinnedH2398 against me; and I will pardon all their iniquitiesH5771, whereby they have sinnedH2398 against me, and whereby they have transgressedH6586 against me. 9And this city shall beH1961 to me for a nameH8034 of joyH8342, for a praiseH8416 and for a gloryH8597, before all the nationsH1471 of the earthH776, which shall hearH8085 all the goodH2896 that I do unto them, and shall fearH6342 and trembleH7264 for all the goodH2896 and for all the peaceH7965 that I procure unto it.

10ThusH3541 saith Jehovah: YetH5750 againH5750 there shall be heardH8085 in this placeH4725, whereof ye sayH559, It is waste, without manH120 and without beast, even in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and in the streetsH2351 of JerusalemH3389, that are desolateH8074, without manH120 and without inhabitantH3427 and without beast, 11the voiceH6963 of joyH8057 and the voiceH6963 of gladnessH8057, the voiceH6963 of the bridegroom and the voiceH6963 of the brideH3618, the voiceH6963 of them that sayH559, GiveH3034 thanksH3034 to Jehovah of hostsH6635, for Jehovah is goodH2896, for his lovingkindness endureth for everH5769; and of them that bringH935 sacrifices of thanksgivingH8426 into the houseH1004 of Jehovah. For I will cause the captivityH7622 of the landH776 to returnH7725 as at the firstH7223, saith Jehovah.

12ThusH3541 saith Jehovah of hostsH6635: YetH5750 againH5750 shall there beH1961 in this placeH4725, which is waste, without manH120 and without beast, and in all the citiesH5892 thereof, a habitation of shepherdsH7462 causing their flocksH6629 to lieH7257 down. 13In the citiesH5892 of the hill-country, in the citiesH5892 of the lowland, and in the citiesH5892 of the SouthH5045, and in the landH776 of BenjaminH1144, and in the places about JerusalemH3389, and in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, shall the flocksH6629 againH5750 passH5674 under the handsH3027 of him that numbereth them, saith Jehovah.

14Behold, the daysH3117 comeH935, saith Jehovah, that I will perform that goodH2896 wordH1697 which I have spokenH1696 concerning the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 and concerning the houseH1004 of JudahH3063. 15In those daysH3117, and at that timeH6256, will I cause a BranchH6780 of righteousnessH6666 to growH6779 up unto DavidH1732; and he shall execute justiceH4941 and righteousnessH6666 in the landH776. 16In those daysH3117 shall JudahH3063 be savedH3467, and JerusalemH3389 shall dwellH7931 safely; and this is the name whereby she shall be calledH7121: Jehovah our righteousnessH6664. 17For thusH3541 saith Jehovah: DavidH1732 shall never want a manH376 to sitH3427 upon the throneH3678 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478; 18neither shall the priestsH3548 the LevitesH3881 want a manH376 before me to offer burnt-offerings, and to burn meal-offerings, and to do sacrificeH2077 continually.

19And the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto JeremiahH3414, sayingH559, 20ThusH3541 saith Jehovah: If ye can breakH6565 my covenantH1285 of the dayH3117, and my covenantH1285 of the nightH3915, so that there shall not beH1961 dayH3117 and nightH3915 in their season; 21then may alsoH1571 my covenantH1285 beH1961 brokenH6565 with DavidH1732 my servantH5650, that he shall not have a sonH1121 to reignH4427 upon his throneH3678; and with the LevitesH3881 the priestsH3548, my ministers. 22As the hostH6635 of heavenH8064 cannot be numbered, neither the sandH2344 of the seaH3220 measuredH4058; soH3651 will I multiplyH7235 the seedH2233 of DavidH1732 my servantH5650, and the LevitesH3881 that minister unto me.

23And the wordH1697 of Jehovah came to JeremiahH3414, sayingH559, 24Considerest thou not what this peopleH5971 have spokenH1696, sayingH559, The twoH8147 familiesH4940 which Jehovah did chooseH977, he hath cast them off? thus do they despise my peopleH5971, that they should beH1961 no more a nationH1471 before them. 25ThusH3541 saith Jehovah: If my covenantH1285 of dayH3119 and nightH3915 stand not, if I have not appointedH7760 the ordinances of heavenH8064 and earthH776; 26then will I alsoH1571 cast awayH7725 the seedH2233 of JacobH3290, and of DavidH1732 my servantH5650, so that I will not takeH3947 of his seedH2233 to be rulersH4910 over the seedH2233 of AbrahamH85, IsaacH3446, and JacobH3290: for I will cause their captivityH7622 to returnH7725, and will have mercyH7355 on them.
